Bing Ads is the economic engine driving monetization of search, content & apps across Microsoft and strategic partners. The Market Science & Innovation team is expanding and becoming into the data science center of excellence within the Bing Ads Business Team. We use data science, machine learning and, in the future, Artificial Intelligence to build models and internally consumed products that help sales and marketing teams better optimize their activities to drive short-term and long-term business growth.
BA/BS degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Computer science, statistics, economics, operations research) or equivalent practical experience
3+ years program management, building, or managing online products, including experience in data analysis.
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical background. Experience with articulating business problems, developing/validating hypothesis, and translating analysis results into actionable business recommendations
Experience presenting analysis findings and recommendations at multiple levels of stakeholders. Strong verbal. written, and visual communication skills
Ability to influence at all levels and work effectively across teams and geographies
Growth-hacking mentality to find a way and make an impact to the business
Advanced degree in computer Science / engineering or related areas
Direct experience defining and managing data science projects within a data science team
Experience using SQL to extract and manipulate large datasets, or with other programming languages such as Python, R
Experience working in online industry and sales/marketing organization preferred
Experience building platform monitoring systems
Good understanding of online analysis and experimentation methodologies
Working knowledge of the online advertising space
Location/Travel You will be based in Bellevue, WA. You can expect limited travel, less than 5%

We are looking for a motivated Program Manager to work with our team of Data Scientists to define, develop and deliver high impact projects such as advertiser forecasting, seasonality, potential and engagement modeling. Specifically, you will be responsible for insuring all projects have detailed problems statements with clear success criteria and metrics. Additionally, you are expected to work closely with their Data Science partners on feature engineering and model development efforts. And, finally, you play a key role in the evaluation of model performance and measuring effectiveness in driving advertiser performance and engagement.
As part Product Manager and part Data Scientist, you work with diverse teams across Microsoft Advertising (MSA) to identify opportunities to leverage the team's expertise and models to deliver business insights regarding the state of demand within our marketplace and guide sales and marketing initiatives.
