Fastest growing Orange County injection molding manufacturer is seeking a Program Manager for a critical role which includes total project management for all assigned customers and development projects related to those customers. Will be the primary voice to the customer on development projects and as needed throughout the life of a tool or product released to production
The key responsibilities and skill sets include the following:
• 5 years related experience with a Injection Molding company best.
• Driving total project management of all assigned projects from inception through production hand-off.
• Regular communication with customers to assure project status updates are communicated and clarified in a fashion that promotes excellent customer satisfaction and service.
• Purchase order management-receipt, review, entry, delivery date management and billing.
• Quoting and product/project pricing reviews as needed
• Document review of engineering DRWGs and various agreements
• Coordination of customer meetings and internal meetings, as needed, to meet the customer's project objectives and time schedules.

Position Program management responsibilities include delivering every project on time and within budget as projected. The overall responsibilities include managing overall direction of projects from concept to completion of factory production release. You will be responsible for all cost, quality and delivery issues related to developing home control and home automation products. You will ensure the customer expectations are met through daily interfacing with customers as well as engineering and production teams. The position will report into the Program Management office in the Santa Ana facility but will work on-site at the RCS Technologies office in Poway. Program Managers typically work with many cross functional groups from internal Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Firmware Engineers, Manufacturing, Marketing, as well as third party vendors that include FCC, UL, and others. Responsibilities * Manage technical projects having a defined beginning and end, full responsibility from cradle to grave * Plan, coordinate and monitor scope, requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, tasks, risks, staff and deliverables for multiple projects. * Understand the HVAC, Home Automation and Security markets in both Professional and DIY segments and provide innovative solutions that address customer needs * Foster and maintain communication channels with customers and engineering, marketing and manufacturing groups * Organize and leads activities relating to the management and completion of projects. * Apply advanced business process and analysis concepts and organizational objectives to resolve highly complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. * Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors * Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget along with resource availability and allocation * Develop and maintain detailed project plans and master schedules * Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs * Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques * Report and escalate to management as needed * Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders * Perform risk management to minimize project risks * Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors * Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation Requirements * BS/BA degree, Engineering degree even better * 3+ years working in a project management role within a consumer-oriented technical environment, preferably wireless consumer devices * Can read and interpret engineering diagrams and product specifications * Excellent client-facing and inter-depart communication skills, verbal and written skills * Problem solving skills with the ability to identify project issues and remove roadblocks * Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills * Strong working knowledge of creating schedules using Gantt-based tools like MS Project with ability and willingness to learn other systems Universal Electronics Inc.
