Our story

Originally founded by two emergency room psychiatrists, Dr. Chris Carson and Dr. Robert Williamson, Connections Health Solutions brings 30 years of experience serving individuals in crisis and operates two of the nation's largest and most studied crisis response centers and is currently expanding to more states. Since opening our doors we have provided care and treatment for hundreds of thousands of individuals in crisis.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

The Program Manager

  • E&T is the single point of accountability for the Evaluation and Treatment (E&T) and Involuntary Treatment Act (ITA)(civil commitment) process at the E&T facility and is responsible for tracking patients for whom an E&T has been requested, ensuring court documents are filed on time, and prioritizing patients for transfer to an evaluating hospital. The Program Manager

  • E&T works with psychiatrists to submit their evaluations to the court and schedule appearances at hearings and works with Clinical Operations staff to ensure required documentation and reports are provided to the County. The Program Manager

  • E&T is also responsible for witness screening and subpoenas in conjunction with the Clerk of Court. The E&T Program Manager role will perform many job duties independently of and in certain situations without direct supervision and feedback. Due to the nature of legal proceedings, they will need to make decisions in accordance with legal statutes that result in the best outcomes for the patient and in the best interests of Connections Health Solutions.

  • Oversees all E&T operations for the E&T Program and acts as the subject matter except for all involuntary petitions and E&T activities in conjunction with the Operations Team

  • Is responsible for all reporting related to Key Performance Indicators and required to monitor data trends. Negative data trends will require the use of root cause analyses and solution-focused changes to address E&T programming changes.

  • Tracks the status of patients for whom Evaluation and Treatment has been requested

  • Works with Social Services staff to ensure proper completion of the E&T.

  • Will be the primary point of contact between the medical staff (MD, PNP, PA) and the legal court system (Judges, Attorneys) to address any barriers related to E&T process.

  • Works with psychiatrists to ensure proper completion of their evaluations and legal filings

  • Ensures court documents are filed on time and in accordance with the Clerk of Court standards

  • Prepares witness statements and issues subpoenas on behalf of the Clerk of Court

  • Works with the Clinical Operations staff to ensure required documentation and reports are provided to the County. This will require daily, weekly and monthly reports and legal filing of court documents based on legal filling times and dates

  • Works with Clinical Operations staff to prioritize patients for admission to an evaluating hospital and address barriers to timely patient flow.

  • Attends and schedules staff attendance at court hearings, essentially acting as the Clerk of Court on behalf of Connections Health Solutions.

  • Maintain court appearance integrity and Court standards and ensure the court proceedings meet the specified standards of King County.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW), Psychology, Counseling, Rehabilitation, or related field

  • 5 years health care and client care coordination responsibilities

  • Notary License Required

  • Demonstrated proficiency: Microsoft Office Software, Electronic Health Records, Health Information Exchange Systems

It would be great if you had:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Legal Studies, or Nursing

  • 10 years of behavioral health care and client care coordination responsibilities

  • Demonstrated A.R.S. Title 36 legal system experience

The typical hiring range for this role in Washington is $80,000 - $96,000 annually.
