Connecticut firm 6 months-to-direct contract assignment for a junior to mid-level Program Manager to manage and coordinate internal and external project activity including efforts in Hardware, Software, Firmware, Testing, Manufacturing testing, field engineering, and data analysis.

Ensures and innovates development processes and methodologies within project teams to meet project goals.
Communicates and coordinates product projects with customers, MFG, Finance, Design, and Client Services, and senior management to ensure successful completion of planned projects.
Perform business analysis on product lines to filter/suggest/implement projects, new products, and current product improvements.

Experience:
BS degree in a technical field and 2+ years in a technical role and 3+ years of Project Management Experience
Experience in developing technical products from initial prototype development to final manufacturing production
Cross-functional project and change management for all activity
Coordinating activity between the various departments to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Budget, Scope, Schedule and Maintenance of project
Regularly update senior management on project status and activity
Program related resource and change management at all levels of organization
Capable of working on complex problems and exceptions without direct supervision

Job Description Responsible for planning and managing all activities and functions of the Surgical Weight Loss Center performing strategic planning, program development, budget management. Works in collaboration with practice manager and senior leadership along with the medical co-directors to ensure that all program goals and objectives are accomplished. Assesses the patient experience and evaluates care needs and outcomes across the entire continuum of care. Key Responsibilities: Manages the planning and implementation of the program's goals as a Center of Excellence to fulfill its identified mission. Establishes goals and objectives for the program as part of the balanced scorecard initiative. Actively participates to monitor and develop mechanisms to improve quality patient outcomes by engaging in and using HCHAPS, H3W workgroups, Press-Ganey results, market share, and patient feedback solicitation. Participates as an active member of various meetings and committees including operations/managers meeting, management forum, center of excellence meeting, bariatric oversight committee, and others as needed. Works directly with Practice Manager, Administration leader/manager and Center of Excellence coordinators to develop and grow programs to a higher level of performance. Coordinates and assists in all aspects of obtaining and maintaining the Center of Excellence designations from both professional organizations and private payers. Liaisons and meets regularly with leaders/staff from all hospital and practice based services/units to assess needs, address problems and initiative projects to improve the care of the bariatric patient. Provides customer service to patients by completing daily rounds on inpatient units and develops mechanisms and programs to obtain patient feedback and provide information. Develops and manages projects designed to increase efficiency, safety, and improve patient care outcomes. Oversees development of information flyers, patient education materials, internal documentation systems/forms, website information, social media, and various other materials to facilitate the program. Facilitates and continually looks to improve the new patient orientation education session and support group. Supports and collaborates with program research staff to gather, analyze, and report patient data efficiently and accurately. Works with Practice Manager in the development of internal systems and materials for delivery of the program and services including patient case coordination and follow up. Oversees all clinical activities of the Bariatrics division. Provides clinical leadership to internal resources to ensure the delivery of expert and compassionate clinical care. Develops, implements, and documents policies, procedures, and protocols that ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations. Continuously identifies and implements ways to maximize efficiency, productivity and resource allocation. Responds promptly and effectively to patient and referring physician concerns. Oversees and participates in the physical and psychosocial nursing assessment, planning, interventions, and evaluation of patient care during all contacts. Formulates a nursing plan of care using the nursing process. Documents all patient interactions according to policy. Act as a patient advocate by demonstrating ability to communicate effectively verbally and written with patients and their families to receive feedback, remove barriers, and solve problems to support success and positive outcomes. Monitors program performance measures including (a) patient volumes from initial entry to long term post-surgical follow up, (b) reimbursements per procedure/insurance, (c) Through put dashboard, (d) OR Core initiatives, (e) inpatient initiatives, and others and indicated. Performs need assessments, evaluates, and analyzes individual project and overall program effectiveness. Implements appropriate procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy to fulfill identified goals/mission. Liaisons with external constituencies in developing, planning, and implementing program objectives. Develops and implements staff training programs including regular educational inservices to meet assessed and new learning needs. Collaborates with Marketing and Planning leaders/staff to develop and implement marketing strategic initiatives including marketing materials, community education events, facilitate/attend meetings with community physicians, program representation at community awareness events, social media. Represents Center at professional organizations, education institutes by presenting lectures and providing educational materials. Partner with research team to actively participate in current projects. Current state of Connecticut RN license and CPR certification. Bariatric Nurse certification or ability to attain after 2 years. Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field required. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in surgery, ambulatory or acute care setting for surgical care. Strong human resource management skills with leadership experience managing teams. Proficiency in computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheet/database, and presentation software. Demonstrated ability to balance ongoing functional responsibilities with leadership responsibilities. High level of compassion; Comfortable working with psychosocial needs of patient. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships. Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Skill in coordinating activities, evaluating data, and establishing priorities. Skill in program development, marketing, and execution. Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate clinical information clearly to non-clinical audiences. Skill in facilitation and presentation. Ability to travel and work independently. Ability to refine, reorganize or redirect workflow in a timely manner to optimize resources.
