JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW

The Program Manager- Operations is a crucial leader in the organization to help drive improvements in the effectiveness of the organization. They will help the organization growth in areas or planning, process/structure, strategic thinking and partner engagement. They will coordinate budgeting, resourcing, support demand reduction and training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engages in development or business and IT roadmap and coordination of planning to support them

  • Coordinates Operational reviews and provides dashboards to better understand the status and effectiveness of the organization

  • Organizes and gathers information from various departments and meetings and reports that information, along with recommendations

  • Coordinate with Finance to set and track performance against budgets

  • Participates in strategic initiatives by representing the team and providing feedback to the group

  • Coordinate training and coaching priorities for the organization

  • Organizes a calendar and keeps track of multiple activities at the same time

  • Keeps up with industry trends by reading literature and communicating with peers

  • Help the team identify priorities, strategically align the resources to support those, and revisit them regularly to assess progress

  • Act as a key thought partner, brainstorming & identifying solutions to challenges

  • Oversee meeting preparation and planning for key partner engagements

  • Manages organizational communications: drafting emails, reports, memos, presentations

  • Drives visibility and improvements to IT Operations to include but not limited to: IT incident/problem escalation and communication, IT service level adherence and reporting, IT performance IT operational documentation and processes, IT capacity and performance management reporting.

  • Coordinates escalations that arise, coordinating as necessary with other IT technical teams and the business in identifying the problem and moving towards a resolution.

  • Develops and manages objectives to drive high levels of customer service and continuous improvement

  • Recognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievements.

  • Helps to establish/maintain a high-performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics.

  • Has a flexible and is willing to perform varying duties depending on the shifting needs of the team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technology and 5 to 7 years of relevant experience; Master's Degree a plus;

  • Experience working in Application Support, Portfolio Planning and Team Leadership roles

  • Demonstrated people skills and the ability to work closely with internal customers

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks or projects to align with the strategic objectives and with business goals

  • Proven record of building high performing teams in a distributed and/or remote work environment

  • Quick adapter within fast-paced environments, flexible and able to adjust with changing business and technology environments

WORK ENVIRONMENT/OTHER INFORMATION (Travel required, physical requirements, on-call schedules, etc.)

  • Minimal Travel Required. Travel limited to training, occasional team meetings, and projects.
