Title:Program Manager IV
Location:

Leawood, KS / Hybrid (2 Days Onsite)
Terms: 6 Month Contract to Hire- Must Want to Convert to Perm

Contract Rate: Along the same lines as the conversion salary
Salary Conversion: 110-120K
Status: Prefer W2 or 1099 (U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor currently. We are unable to engage in a Corp-to-Corp arrangement with this client)

SUMMARY:

This role will be responsible for strategic direction, planning, and execution of digital signage projects inside and outside movie theatres. This involves overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of digital signage systems that may display new releases, show times, promotional content, and interactive customer information.

POSITION PURPOSE:

  • Partners with Director and contributes to strategic direction with stakeholders.
  • Focus on overall strategy of the digital signage product with oversight on execution of initiatives within said product.
  • This position may manage team members should the organization need it.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership & Communication
  • Coordinates product strategy across team and stakeholders.
  • Establishes and maintains contact with internal peers, external partners and leadership on product status and roadmap.
  • Enforces product team processes for managing work. Contributes enhancements to this process.

Project Management

  • Contribute to the creation of and manage current roadmap for the product wit clear vision across ownership of tasks and objectives for product.
  • Oversight of iterative delivery ceremonies for the product
  • Leads product team meetings.
  • Communication of milestones and results
  • Monitored product features on program level Kanban board(s) maintaining accurate product features.
  • Escalation of issues & opportunities
  • Oversight of resource capacity for product team
  • Can work on and lead cross product teams and initiatives.

Product Budget Maintenance

  • Forethought and advanced strategy to marry financial, headcount and expected tasks.
  • Accurately managed budget and estimates.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY:

Knowledge

  • Agile Methodologies, SCRUM, Kanban, Test Driven Development, Continual Improvement
  • Microsoft Project

Skills and Abilities

  • Time/Task Management. It is expected that the individual manages his/her time and priorities effectively. This position is results-oriented; the results being working code in production at expected dates.
  • Analytical/Problem Solving: Intellectual capacity and ability to gather, sort and analyze data and then develop logical conclusions; critical thinking skills; familiar with problem solving tools/techniques and able to communicate options, conclusions, and recommendations to both the business and the technology teams.
  • Interpersonal/Communication: articulate and capable of conveying ideas clearly/concisely; sensitive to needs of the audience; ensures the customer, as well as service areas within Technology & Systems are kept informed of plans, status, and current problems/challenges; manages around internal politics; empathetic, good listener.

  • Fast learner. Get up to speed quickly and work independently with extreme attention to detail
  • Strong Multi-Tasker. Delivery of multiple features concurrently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with a variety of technical team members across organization.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate complex technical issues to project team members and stakeholders in clear and concise ways, including those who do not have a technical background
  • Excellent organization skills. Must be detailed oriented, able to design and implement detailed processes for change management, installation and configuration, production support and other highly complex and technical activities.
  • Must be able to communicate with and manage multiple vendors on technical issues and planning.

POSITION MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, management or equivalent (necessary to develop self-direction, writing ability, critical thinking, and foundations of programming and software delivery fundamentals).
  • A solid understanding of the theory and methodologies implemented in the commercial and open-source tools used to rapidly deliver software solutions is required.
  • This is often not provided through technical certification schools, although technical schools often provide the specific training on the tools used in business integration environments.
  • Minimum 5 Years Professional Experience in Project or Program Management

POSITION AUTHORITY:

  • Represents company regarding performance feedback to stakeholders and partners with whom his/her team works.
  • Participates as a contributor with other teams and companies in collaborative work & design.
  • Assigns feedback to other program managers via peer reviews.
  • Recommends software packages and solutions for purchase and deployment.

KEY CONTACTS:

  • Directors - Daily- Communicate status - challenges, and opportunities. Receive feedback, direction, & priority.
  • Program Managers  - Semi-Weekly -  As peers, collaborate and coordinate work across product teams when necessary. As a high-level program manager, may be required to oversee coordination of cross-product efforts.
  • Vendors  - Daily - Communicate thoughts, directions, and exchange work to be effective.
  • Business Analysts, Developers & QA Testers  - Semi-Weekly - Communicate questions and understand their issues in order to appropriately communicate and manage deliverables
  • Business Team members - Weekly  -  Receive vision and communicate progress.
  • Application Administrators  - Weekly- Confirm and communicate any deployments.
