The Division of Research is seeking a Program Manager for Internal Funding Operations who will provide administration and management support for internal funding opportunities.The preferred candidate will Demonstrated experience in organizing faculty workshops and team building activities; Proficiency in the use of InfoReady database, Experience in higher education. The Program Manager for Internal Funding Operations will provide administration and management support for internal funding opportunities. The position reports directly the Associate Vice President for Research.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of program management, development, or coordination or closely related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of computers and software programs.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated technical abilities, and ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communication disciplines, business-related disciplines, technical field or other relevant field.
Demonstrated experience in organizing faculty workshops and team building activities.
Proficiency in the use of InfoReady database.
Experience in higher education.
Responsibilities
Administration of Internal Funding Programs-Plans, organizes, directs, and manages the day-to-day activities of Internal Funding Programs. Develops and manages the timeline for internal grant competitions. Coordinates the review and selection processes for applications, provides notifications of outcomes, and records annual reporting from awardees. Develops and produces materials for the Internal Funding Programs, including website materials, print and digital projects, program announcements, updates and/or draft guidelines and InfoReady Applications materials. Assists in developing strategic plans and goals to support the program.
Policies and Procedures- Develops and implements policies and procedures of internal funding programs (budget guidelines, conditions of award, no-cost extensions). Creates, develops, and disseminates documentation and communication of policies. Prepares and delivers informational sessions on internal programs at least once a semester.
Outcome Assessments- Creates a database of outcomes for internal funding programs (e.g., distribution of applications and awards across units, annual reports submitted by awardees) to inform modifications or development of internal funding programs. Creates and updates a reference database of internal funding opportunities at aspirant peer institutions. Performs other duties as assigned.
