The mission of the Enterprise & Industry Verticals Business Development (BD) team is to enhance Field Sales effectiveness through targeted enterprise and industry related programs and solution packages. Meeting this vision requires a programmatic approach to incubating, scaling, and resourcing enterprise and industry verticals programs.

As a senior Industry BD Program Manager, you will play a central role is developing, planning, and driving execution of the programs required to deliver on the mission of the organization. You will work closely with the Strategy & Operations team, with the Enterprise, Industry, and Program Business Development leaders, as well as with our Business Intelligence and Data Science teams to formulate effective program plans and to manage successful execution and delivery of targeted business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be a very effective written and oral communicator and have strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills, and the ability to work with key business stakeholders to understand requirements and shape deliverables. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business challenges, with the ability to work across a broad global network of organizational boundaries.

A strong candidate will have a deep sense of ownership, accountability, and an analytical approach to problem solving. He/she is a self-starter with a bias towards independent problem solving, a passion for identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, and has the foresight to anticipate business needs, make tradeoffs, and balance business dynamics despite constraints. The senior Industry BD Program Manager will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to manage through ambiguity and complexity, and constantly seek ways to invent and simplify business processes.

Maturity, strong judgment, and the ability to influence are all essential to success in this role. This is a hands-on position - the ideal candidate must be willing to "roll up the sleeves" and get things done.

The AR Manager will create and drive strategy and tactics to effectively communicate key differentiators for AWS services and industry solutions. The AWS cloud computing platform is used today by millions of businesses and developers around the world, ranging from start-ups to Fortune 50 enterprises. Cloud computing is arguably one of the most impactful developments in technology within the last 20 years. AWS is a pioneer and leader in the fast growing field of cloud computing. Because of this, there are thousands of analysts worldwide who are trying to understand AWS to then help their clients realize the transformation potential of cloud computing for their business. Our role is to inform these analysts and explain how AWS is different from traditional IT infrastructure offerings, and to work with these analysts to understand core customer requirements and concerns. The successful candidate will be creative and experienced in analyst relations/communications with a successful track for technology companies. The right candidate possesses analyst experience and a track-record of demonstrating successful AR program management focused on key industry verticals – this includes the ability to quickly understand technically deep topics, successfully deliver on numerous collaborative projects, and manage day-to-day operations related to program activities in a global organization. In this role, the candidate will have a direct opportunity to innovate AWS AR programs and measurement of results via new approaches. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and execute Global Industry Vertical AR programs to educate the analyst community. * Proactively manage vendor ratings, and secure positive placement of AWS services in key reports * Drive analyst awareness of AWS Industry Vertical offerings and significantly expand analyst understanding of the unique AWS approach to cloud computing * Deliver on-going AR program activities such as analyst briefings, events, inquiries, reporting and other core program tactics * Prioritize and manage incoming requests for information, research review, customer references, event speakers, and research * Write presentations and prepare AWS Executives for engaging with analysts * Driving alignment with sales, marketing and product teams to maximize awareness of customer requirements, existing market evidence, and AR program impact The role is based in Seattle, WA or San Francisco, CA or Portland, OR area and will require periodic travel.
