Amazon has an immediate opening for a Program Manager to join our Worldwide Consumer Finance Controllership team.

This position supports and directly influences the launch of one of Amazon's most impactful controllership initiatives supporting our Worldwide Operations across the Customer Fulfillment, Transportation and Logistics, and Physical Store business units. This leader will work closely with operations, finance, accounting, tax, tech, and others teams and represent the Operations Controllership organization to various stakeholders. In this role, the candidate will be part of a team that collaborates with business finance and technical teams to deliver world class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible. This person will have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope business requirements and prioritize.

Successful candidates will have deep experience in the following three disciplines - Accounting, Program Management and Finance Systems. Candidate experience should cover financial processes, project management, accounting requirements documentation, process design, and user acceptance testing responsibilities. Demonstrated experience in leading teams to accomplish unusually complex challenges is expected as this is an ongoing requirement for this position.

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • 5+ years of experience managing teams

  • 5+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management

  • 5+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Master's degree or Accounting/Finance certification (CMA or CPA)

  • PMP Certification

  • Experience supporting accounting/finance customers to set and effectively manage expectations, project deliverables, and drive resolution when conflicts or issues arise.

  • Experience in managing cross-functional initiatives through influence versus direct management.

The Solid Waste Division (SWD) of King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks has an opening for a Term Limited Temporary (TLT) Capital Project Manager III position providing an opportunity for a talented leader, team-builder, and communicator to serve the public and the environment of King County. This position has an anticipated term of three years, with the possibility of further extension. The Capital Project Manager III position resides within SWD's Project Management Office. The person in this position will work independently with limited general day-to-day oversight as well as work closely with senior project managers to plan, design, and implement project management plans and construction management plans to complete major capital projects. Projects may include landfill area development and closure; recycling and transfer stations, and operational enhancements. The position requires competencies in project management; contract administration; schedule development and analysis; cost estimating/analysis; performance monitoring and reporting; advanced project risk management; communication and leading project teams. Teleworking Requirement: The work associated with this position will be performed predominantly by teleworking, with occasional onsite work and meetings, as influenced by business needs. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in WA state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required by the department in alignment with the Public Health Directive from the Seattle & King County Public Health Officer. Examples of Job Duties: The CPM III will manage projects by developing, tracking, and updating: * Scope, schedule, budget, risk, and procurement management plans * Risk registers * Stakeholder engagement and communications management plans * Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) As Project Manager for assigned projects, the incumbent will: * Prioritize, organize and manage project work and resources * Manage consultants and other professionals by monitoring performance and ensuring accountability * Identify and effectively engage project stakeholders * Perform quality assurance and quality control oversite * Develop, manage and participate in project teams * Manage both verbal and written communications in a professional manner * Identify, manage, and respond to project risks * Oversee implementation of construction work * Manage the design, construction management, and construction contracts: * Initiate and closeout projects and contracts following established protocols * Set up project performance monitoring parameters in SWD project tracking and reporting systems (PRISM) * Prepare project performance reports in compliance with King County requirements * Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
