GTA is a leading independent provider of high-value engineering, technology and business consulting services to the telecommunications industry. The company is based in Reston, VA and has presence throughout the US and Internationally.

Job Description:

Project Manager Role must be versed in complex network design and optimization with a command of time management and organizational skills. Must be able to lead a team of 10-15 engineers and properly assess quality control over deliverables under extremely tight deadlines.

PM will need to be able to communicate effectively and utilize critical thinking in problem solving. Presenting in front of management may also be required. Needs to have a firm understanding of end to end site design inception to commissioning and integration. Will need to be proficient in excel and databases as well as the ability to generate PPT presentations for reporting.

Additional responsibilities may include: performing cost justification studies; planning, ordering and deploying network components; forecasting network/equipment needs and recommending appropriate configurations; resolving complex maintenance problems; monitoring traffic flows to ensure call delivery optimization; and providing technical leadership and expertise to less experienced engineers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • 5 years' experience in RF Engineering

  • Tools experience in Atoll, Appian, MapInfo, Alteryx, ACP, excel, Powerpoint, Databasing or equivalent a must.

Additional Position Requirements:

A background investigation and drug test is required.

Services both suppliers and key customers and maintenance of existing business. Ensures cost, schedule, scope and technical deliverable requirements are met for assigned programs. Focus required on key customer initiatives, supplier initiatives, providing customer interface, and overall management of the program across the globe. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned: Principal Responsibilities: * Works with global counterparts to ensure both internal and external global key measurement indicators are being met. * Meets with suppliers to develop common metrics and objectives through development and delivery of creative brief(s). * Performs supply chain duties and/or other related tasks as assigned to the scope of the program such as MRP (material requirement planning) meetings, POURS (point of use replenishment system), Lean sizing, invoicing, quoting, and purchase order placement. * Manages program effort ensuring content and deliverables are executed in a timely fashion. * Works with global cross functional team to deliver results. * Communicates project status to counterparts. * Serves as escalation point for all issues pertaining to customer, end customer, supplier, or Regional counterparts. * Serves as lead liaison between end-customer and suppliers for all related program issues. * Quotes, verifies, and manage the pricing for all customers. * Tracks, manages, and reports all internal key measurements. * Creates initial B2B solutions and maintains B2B connectivity for engagements. * May serve as a mentor to other team members. Job Level Specifications: * Thorough knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in area of professional expertise. Is competent in all job functions and has general understanding of the industry practices, techniques and standards. * Develops solutions to a wide variety of problems and works on projects requiring evaluation and analysis. May refer to policies, practices and precedents for guidance but determines best course of action to achieve results. * Work is performed independently requiring judgment and discretion. May receive some limited guidance for new assignments. Work may be reviewed for overall adequacy. * Interacts with management and professionals within department and other parts of the organization. May represent department externally on projects or with clients. * Actions impact the success of the overall department and sometimes the organization. Failure to accomplish work or erroneous decisions will result in delays to projects, loss of revenue or allocation of additional resources to remedy. Work Experience: * 3-5 years with bachelor's or equivalent.
