The Program Manager -- Healthcare is responsible for supporting the Healthcare & Disability Leadership by managing multiple initiatives, analyzing health care data and proposals, participating in the collective bargaining process and assisting with vendor management. The specific duties include management and oversight of FCA's fully-insured medical, dental and vision programs and the Employer Group Waiver Plan (EGWP) pharmacy plan.

The successful candidate will also:

  • Work with external counsel and benefit actuaries to analyze new offerings and ensure compliance with applicable laws

  • Negotiate annual rate renewals with vendors and oversee/direct the development of annual Cash Pay and COBRA premium rates

  • Help prepare bid specifications, analyze proposals and renewal information for assigned programs

  • Interpret insurance carrier contracts and ensure fulfillment

  • Research current benefit trends and regulatory/legislated requirements and recommend programs/changes

  • Analyze health care data, benchmark competitors and uncover best practices as input to the department's strategic planning and evaluation

  • Perform other duties as assigned

This role will partner with internal and external stakeholders of the health care, wellness, pharmacy and disability teams as part of a high performing organization and culture. Good judgment and decisiveness are necessary while working knowledge of healthcare management and demonstrate a personal commitment to professional growth.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in benefits, benefits finance or clinical program management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree

  • Working knowledge of health plans such as medical, dental, pharmacy, vision, etc.

  • Direct or indirect experience with vendor management, specifically with healthcare insurers

  • Experience with benefit data warehouse reporting and benefit plan modeling

  • Organizational and leadership skills, goal driven and ability to multi-task

  • Ability to think strategically

  • Strong networking and collaborative skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools and G Suite

National and international travel to manufacturing plants and customer sites 35%. 2 positions available. Duties: plan and direct all program activities (including profit and loss, engineering development, procurement, industrialization, and launch management) in coordination with personnel from Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Operations; liaise with internal and external program stakeholders; develop supplier, technology, process, and sales strategies through the evaluation of make/buy analyses, supplier technologies, supplier geographical location, and monozukuri cost proposals, to anticipate specific requirements for seating programs; initiate and plan production tooling, including setting targets for prototype and production tooling pricing and working with purchasing to ensure these targets are met; analyze product design for feasibility, cost, and strategic business planning; lead Technical Value Optimization workshops across all seating product lines for analysis, prioritization and implementation of cost reductions; identify and recommend product and process standardizations for comfort and trim seating components to improve profitability; negotiate pricing and terms and conditions (design, footprint, and process changes) with customer. Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or Business (or foreign equivalent degree) 2 years' experience in a program management or product management position with an automotive seating supplier or automotive OEM. Special experience required: Must have 2 years' work experience in each of the following: evaluating industrialization of manufacturing plant processes for automotive seating components; developing a multi-stage program plan for Asian automotive seating programs; performing risk assessment evaluations for Asian automotive seating trim programs to implement quick decisions; formulating monozukuri business case analyses for automotive seating trim programs and implementing approved changes in plant setting; coordinating plant program launch manufacturing activities for comfort and trim automotive seating components; evaluating foam seating component product design and manufacturing processes that use sewing lines, cutting, and small component assemblies.
