Job Description:

The Program Manager is responsible for managing the implementation of two-way radio solutions for the Public and Professional Communications space.

  • Lead and support both large and small system implementation programs

  • Broad programmatic skill base to include schedule, financial, risk, and task management

  • Ability to manage multiple large to mid-scale programs simultaneously

  • Ability to work independently in difficult customer situations without remote support for long periods of time

  • Strong customer relationship skills often the only Harris representative facing the customer

  • Foster a sense of team building within Sales, Field Services and Engineering

  • Support pre-sales activities

  • P&L responsibilities

  • Extensive travel

This position will be based in Portland, OR


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years experience in Land Mobile Radio, telecommunications or related field
  • PMP Certification

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in two-way radio systems, microwave systems, or wireless data systems

  • Will work with other disciplines to develop and implement LMR system designs in response to customer specific requirements

  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills
