About the role:

We are seeking a highly professional, dedicated, and motivated individual to join the team as a Program Manager of Sales Operations, supporting the MVP of Sales Operations and Federal GVP in APS, Global Technology Sales. In this exciting role you will work in a fast-paced environment with highly productive, results focused, and passionate teams. Responsibilities range from Sales Operations, Federal and APS region support, and financial support.

What you will do:

Sales Operations:

  • End-to-End Sales and Retention Processes:

  • Understand Gartner's end to end sales and retention processes and best practices.

  • Leverage sales data and dashboards to proactively provide analysis against key priorities for the APS and Federal region and provide strong communication to sales leaders on these gaps and actions to be taken to exceed region goals for for growth and retention

  • Retention Activities:

  • Work closely with the GRP team for retention activities including scheduling of SAPs across the region.

  • Coordinate and gather data to support Quarterly Risk Assessment across Sales, GRP, and Service Delivery Leadership.

  • Review the Integrated Pathway to identify opportunities for retention improvement.

  • Review and provide data for on-time IAs and utilization of IA Coaching Guides which will include ensuring all QBRs and RLC activities are scheduled 30 days for contract start and accurately reflected in Salesforce.

  • Prepare for bi-monthly Client Loyalty Day to identify unengaged users, provide the data to sales and service delivery leadership.

  • Growth Activities:

  • Review Salesforce, dashboards and weekly SM Scorecard to highlight progress and opportunities.

  • Prepare weekly communication on the pipeline progress including number of opportunities and velocity which will include: reviewing leads, IPW and POC actions, week over week pipeline progress, and stalled deals across the Federal region.

  • On a monthly basis, meet with our ETS sales operation to review the Integrated Pathway to identify opportunities for growth improvement.

  • Review upcoming event registrations to drive timely prospect and invitational registrations and communicate best practice scores and areas of opportunity to improve across all regions within APS.

  • Build and Run Programs:

  • Full knowledge of the APS and Federal vision, goals, priorities, and business KPIs to build and run Federal and APS programs that target specific opportunities within the region to grow and retain the business.

  • Partner with SBA and APS MVP Sales Ops to coordinate activities and develop models that enable VP's to ACT on campaigns and programs. These campaigns & programs will often dovetail Corporate and/or APS programs and at times will be on a specific area of opportunity and will likely involve working with other parts of Gartner business. Examples include: Recognition Program, Whitespace & Prospecting Campaigns, Quarterly Events Campaigns, Retention Program, etc.

  • Work with the Sales Ops MVP and Federal GVP to help in prioritizing programs and campaigns.

  • Weekly reporting on the progress to the Federal GVP, leaders and to the Sales Operations MVP as well as strong communications to the Regions on the program, measurement & timeframe and weekly updates.

  • Monthly & Quarterly Recognition:

  • Extract data from Monthly and Quarterly AE/Manager Stack Ranking report. Leverage data to assist with GVP and APS recognition efforts and the coordination of region presentations.

  • Business Partner Collaboration:

  • Work with VPs and key business partners to help identify gaps, process pain points and how to improve to help accelerate growth and improve retention.

  • Communicate the progress against the gaps to region and business partners.

  • Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend all APS and Federal Region meetings, including Quarterly Ops review and Federal bi-weekly's to capture notes and actions.

  • Attend APS and Corporate meetings that are directly related to APS and Region programs and campaigns to ensure that APS and Federal Campaigns and Programs are in alignment to corporate.

Federal and APS Region Support:

  • Regional Meeting Preparation & Coordination:

  • Support Federal GVP in coordination of Region meetings including bi-weekly and Ops Meetings

  • Includes preparing presentations that communicate the current business, forecasted business and progress on growth and retention programs which will involve partnership with the SBA to pull data from various dashboards.

  • Coordination of agendas and speaker slides to be incorporated in the final presentation and posted to shared drives.

  • Help develop innovative ideas for team collaboration, team meetings and general team engagement to support a virtual region and multiple time zones.

  • Assist other APS and Federal Sales Leaders on coordination of their meetings including securing meeting space and presentation support.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, advanced degree a plus

  • Relevant experience in utilizing data and providing analysis, understanding of BI dashboards a plus

  • Advanced problem solving, organizational and analytical skills

  • Experience with program or project coordination/management

  • Must have excellent work ethic, highly organized with good time management skills

  • Maintains a high sense of urgency

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), must have a high attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel - understand data and analytics and dashboards (build dashboards)

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 84,000 USD - 115,920 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
