Be part of the Enterprise Program Office Team at COUNTRY Financial to help improve project delivery value. On this highly collaborative team, the Program Manager will lead enterprise initiatives to drive business outcomes. You will be part of the leadership triad responsible for all aspects of managing programs.

This role has project management responsibility and no direct reports requiring people and resource management through others.

This role defines project scope, goals, deliverables and resources that support business goals in collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders. Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders. Liaises with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones. Tracks project milestones and deliverables. Determines the frequency and content of status reports from project team, analyzes results and troubleshoots problem areas. Defines project success criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. Conducts project post mortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones; tracks project milestones and deliverables.

  • Develop Project Charter, Scope, Stakeholders and Project Team Organization.

  • Determines the frequency and content of status reports from project team, analyzes results and troubleshoots problem areas.

  • Conducts project post mortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAFe Agile experience.

  • Proven track record of leading top priority programs with a high level of complexity.

  • Successful experience in working through barriers and delivering results.

  • Collaborate across all levels of leadership with strong change management and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into practice.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated aptitude towards high standards for quality and performance.

  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Typically requires:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of project management or related experience OR,

  • Master's degree and at least 10 years of project management or related experience OR,

  • At least 14 years of project management or related experience.

  • 2 years of lead experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment.

  • Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate.

On this highly collaborative team, you will help rollout, maintain, mature and monitor enterprise program management practices to optimize program delivery results. This person should have broad experience in Program Management and experience coordinating large efforts across all levels of leadership. The individual in this role leads people who perform project management duties involving cross-functional teams focused on delivery of programs that are vital to strategic, continual modernization of the organization. Oversees plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors programs/projects from initiation through delivery and interfacing with internal customers or department personnel. Organizes project activities and interdepartmental meetings; ensures communication facilitates completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. May assign and monitor work of technical personnel providing support and interpretation of instructions/objectives. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Responsibilities: * Provides leadership by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. * Accomplishes financial objectives by determining service level required; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action. * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. * Manages the implementation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans and activities in assigned areas. Maintains current contact information for all employees in applicable areas and communicates with non-recovery employees during a disaster. * Fosters the highest level of commitment among our people through transparent communication about business challenges, successes and results. * Creates an environment which encourages people to think, behave, take action and control work and make decisions autonomously to attain clear goals. * Takes personal responsibility for making tough decisions, meeting commitments and ensuring expected results are achieved. Preferred Qualifications: * PMP Certified. * Past experience managing a PMO. * SAFE agile certified. * Large program management experience including program planning, business case development, and program budget planning/tracking. Required Qualifications: * Typically requires: * Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of information technology or related experience OR, * Master's degree and at least 6 years of information technology or related experience OR, * At least 10 years of information technology or related experience, * At least 2 years of management experience.
