Position Description
The Program Manager will serve a crucial role in fostering efficiency and clarity in our hardware engineering processes. Working closely with QCi's technology and sales staff, this individual will coordinate resources, manage deadlines, forecast workloads, communicate progress and challenges, and support the timely achievement of key milestones. The Program Manager will also support QCi's device manufacturing by coordinating component orders with suppliers and managing relationships with external vendors and stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities
Identify and implement strategies and tactics to continuously improve QCi's project management practices and execution.
Collaborate closely with Platform Team Leads, Engineering teams, Application Scientists, and Business Development teams to develop project and work plans, manage deadlines, forecast workloads, and ensure milestones are met on schedule.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Provide day-to-day project management support for Hardware, Software, Solutions and Manufacturing teams, ensuring alignment and coordination across organization-wide projects, supporting their adherence to established project management practices.
Produce and maintain status reports and dashboards to inform and communicate appropriate information to staff and stakeholders at all levels of the organization on a timely basis.
Coordinate orders with suppliers and manage manufacturing timelines.
Chair internal project status and planning meetings
Monitor project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate project risks.
Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and practices.
Own and complete other ad hoc tasks as needed to support a dynamic and fast-paced technology organization
Required Skills and Experience
5+ years of demonstrated experience in project management for hardware systems design
Bachelor's degree required; additional certifications such as PMP, CMP, CSM, PMI-ACP preferred
Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and working through the full hardware product life-cycle, from conceptual design to production manufacturing.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills working across a technology organization, including technical scientists, engineers, and executives.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of quantum computing principles and technologies preferred
Experience working in startup environment preferred
Experience working in both agile and waterfall environments, such as a scrum master.
Expertise managing projects using Jira and Confluence tools is preferred.
