Title: Program Manager, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I)
Location: Chicago or Remote
The base salary offered will range between $65,000 - $165,000 and will depend on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, other business and organizational needs, and if applicable, the location from which the applicant will be performing the job. The total compensation package for this position includes bonus and benefits such as health care, 401(k) plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), life insurance, disability insurance, and more.
Role Description:
Oak Street Health has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) to support the execution of our DE&I strategy for our teams, patients and communities.This role will report directly to the Senior Director, DE&I and work closely with other leaders to administer programs and projects that support the following DE&I key objectives:
Inclusion of DE&I in People Processes and Policies
Enhanced DE&I Data Collection (workforce)
Consistent DE&I Communication
Increased Belonging among Oakies (Oak Street Health employees)
More specifically, the DE&I Program Manager will manage the following initiatives end-to-end: People Resource Groups (PRGs) and local DE&I Advocates for our centers and corporate teams. This role offers significant leadership opportunities to support the planning, development, implementation, and integration of strategic DE&I efforts across OSH to deliver impactful and meaningful change.
Core Responsibilities:
People Resource Groups (PRG)
Serves as an advisor to the co-leads of our nine existing PRGs: Alliance Network, Black @ Oak Street Health, Female Minorities in Medicine, Global and Multicultural, LGBTQIA+, Military and Veteran, Parents, Well-Being and Womens.
Partners with team members to stand up any new PRGs
Coordinates and facilitates monthly PRG leadership team meetings
Establishes strategic goals for PRG members and the organization (i.e. recruitment, community/patient engagement, retention)
Manages PRG annual roadmap
Streamlines communication within and across PRGs, as well as org-wide and external facing messaging
Manages and tracks PRG budget
Coordinates cross collaborative activities and initiatives, including an in-person retreat
Administrative tasks, as needed
Local DE&I Advocates
Creates a more localized and equitable approach to access, exposure to DE&I tools, resources and initiatives via local Advocates across all of our centers
Onboards new Advocates and provides ongoing support and development (i.e. facilitation training)
Plans and hosts monthly office hours to share relevant updates and focus areas with Advocates
Facilitates focus groups, pulse surveys, and other data collection methods to assess the impact of the program on the overall organizational DE&I goals and objectives.
Shares progress and feedback with the central DE&I Committee
General DE&I Support
Provides administrative support to the DE&I Committee and its sub-working groups - this could include putting together monthly agendas (with input and guidance from others) and ensuring timely and clear follow-up
Works with key stakeholders on internal and external DE&I-related communications (i.e., DE&I intranet, Oak Street's external DE&I webpage, social media posts, etc.)
Assists with planning and executing org-wide events for commonly recognized days and months (i.e. Mental Health Awareness, Juneteenth, Hispanic Heritage Month, International Women's Day, etc)
Other duties as assigned

Professional experience with program/project management and proven track record of successfully delivering cross functional projects.
One previous role in DE&I highly preferred, but not required. Enthusiasm and passion for the work is desired.
Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and sustaining People Resource Groups/Employee Resource Groups
Highly flexible, collaborative and able to influence and lead through transformative change
High degree of cultural humility and justice-minded approach for the needs of underrepresented employees, historically excluded groups, and allies.
Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
