SCOPE OF POSITION:

The temporary/contract Program Manager oversees a grant funded pilot program to delay institutional care for Rockingham County's older adults. From inception to completion, the Program Manager ensures all projects are delivered on time and within scope/budget. In collaboration with the Senior Director of Long-Term Care Services, the Program Manager develops and implements project plans and further, coordinates with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.A DAY IN THE LIFE:

The temporary/contract Program Manager leads the conceptualization, planning, and design of the grant funded pilot program and ensures Rockingham County aligns with the program's objective, along with the needs of our older adults and the County, through fostering relationships with existing adult day care programs in Rockingham County, collaborating with community partners, building public awareness through marketing initiatives and communication strategies, establishing strong relationships with grant recipients, and advocating for the needs of older adults within the scope of the project. The Program Manager oversees the seamless integration of services and monitors the effectiveness/impact of the program's services on participants' lives, ensuring participants receive comprehensive and holistic support that address their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Further, this position manages the program budget, allocates resources efficiently, ensures financial resources are utilized effectively, and collects data/comprehensive reports that measure the success of this grant-funded program.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Completion of an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, or related field; and

  • Experience in and/or knowledge of aging services, public policy, social services, non-profit organizations, and/or governmental affairs.

  • Proven track record of managing projects of a similar nature.

  • Valid, unencumbered driver's license in good standing, with acceptable driving record.
