Job Overview

CCPS' Office of Professional & Continuing Education is seeking a Professional and Continuing Education Program Manager to manage, evaluate, and plan non-credit programs for the college and university. This position will coordinate activities for the office of professional and continuing education, with a primary focus on Skills@UC. A university-wide initiative powered by Modern Campus, Skills@UC will be the system of record for all non-credit learning across the university. The new platform and public-facing website are anticipated to be functional by August 2024, with all existing non-credit programs incorporated by the end of the academic year. Development of new non-credit offerings will continue past these dates. This position will play a pivotal role in the success, expansion, and long-term sustainability of this initiative. This position is a new position to the college; thus, an ideal candidate will be adaptable, flexible, and take initiative in identifying areas of needs and proactive in finding solutions.

This position will offer direct support to the Skills@UC Program Director in managing the Skills@UC platform, maintaining the non-credit course catalog, updating the website, supporting learners, and training and supporting program partners. To support the implementation and continued success of Skills@UC and non-credit programming, this position will maintain, evaluate, and disseminate product reports, facilitate the Credly badging process, and serve on a non-credit governance sub-committee.

In addition to Skills@UC, this position will be an advocate and resource for non-credit and adult learning across the university. The Program Manager will report to the Assistant Dean of Professional and Continuing Education, while working closely with a number of key staff, including the Skills@UC Program Director. Direction and guidance for projects and programs this position coordinates will come from multiple direct and indirect supervisors. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, and manage several projects simultaneously. Manage, design, develop, modify, and present programs.

Essential Functions

  • Support the Skills@UC Project Director with the functionality, navigation, and maintenance of Skills@UC, the system of record for non-credit offerings at UC

  • Support efforts to maintain the course catalog, ensuring accuracy and relevance

  • Support efforts to evaluate website user experience; ensures that new features and updates are thoroughly tested before implementation

  • Monitor the Skills@UC email account, direct individuals to resources and programs

  • Utilizes the platform's reporting and analytics tools to generate insights about student enrollment, program performance, and other key metrics; maintains organized, timely, and accurate reports; support internal partners in their data and reporting needs

  • Create badges in Credly according to approved program applications; monitor badges to ensure they are accurate and relevant; update badges as needed; maintain reports on Credly awards

  • Coordinate the facilitation and maintenance of internal partner relationships; track non-credit offerings by department/college; serve as a resource for partner questions; connect internal partners with the appropriate professional and continuing education resource

  • Develop and maintain support resources and documentation about professional and continuing education, non-credit learning, and adult learners that assist partners in understanding the needs of non-traditional, adult learners

  • Participate in the non-credit offering governance process, coordinate the application flow

  • Offer program support for professional and continuing education initiatives within CCPS, which can vary by program and need

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Relevant experience in product implementation, web content management, and/or student information systems

  • Experience working in a startup environment

  • Experience with Destiny One platform functionalities
