Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.

  • 4 years of experience with internal or organizational communications.

  • Experience working with executives to develop communications, including written and speaking engagements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in designing presentations, videos, and creative collateral.

  • Ability to think, plan, and execute on multiple projects simultaneously with colleagues globally.

  • Ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly, and prioritize.

  • Ability to work effectively across functions to influence, manage, and drive communications across the organization.

  • Excellent writer who captures the authentic leadership voice in written communications and helps shape the internal communications narrative effectively via range of methods.

About the job

As a Communications Manager, you'll lead the Devices and Services Marketing Communications work, collaborating side-by-side with Leadership, including our VP to define the vision and execute the plan across all of Devices and Services Marketing (DSM). You'll create compelling, comprehensive, and engaging content to support our organization and culture priorities, while helping marketers get inspired, grow, and feel connected with DSM.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to reinforce our culture and priorities across all communications touchpoints. You'll help inform, connect, and inspire our global team across DSM, own executive communications across various channels (written and in-person), support external executive presence needs, and partner closely with the Marketing PR team to execute on a range of external-facing efforts. In addition to core communications responsibilities, you will also partner across our team to lead Culture programs across DSM.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and collaborate on communications for a large-scale organization, including emails and slide presentations, while also measuring and analyzing communications efforts for their effectiveness against stated goals.

  • Demonstrate creativity and excellent judgment as you provide project management and steer content for internal meetings and announcements.

  • Collaborate closely with executives, including the VP and CoS to craft executive-level communications and presentations, providing steer that reflects an understanding of their business and leadership style.

  • Nurture relationships with peers across Google communities to share best practices and collaborate in support of cross-Marketing Management Group (MMG) initiatives.

  • Ensure an efficient workflow for creating, editing, publishing, and measuring the impact of our communications. Identify trends within our industry, company, and team.
