Position Summary

This person will work for CHRIS 180s TREE House Program. The TREE House is a no-cost, harm-reduction, Substance Abuse Treatment program serving youth ages 13-24 and their families/caregivers. This position is responsible for the programmatic management of TREE House Project. The Program Manager will serve as the main point of contact for the grant project, manages day to day operations including staff and staff scheduling, and coordinate with evaluators, SAMHSA, and other key partners. The Program Manager is responsible for working with the Clinical Director, Grants Manager, and Operations Manager to ensure the project meets all CSAT requirements, EBPs are implemented with fidelity, and that all reports are submitted in a timely and accurate manner.

Role and Responsibilities

The primary duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manager will be responsible for all TREE House personnel issues: including, but not limited to, posting positions, hiring and performance evaluations. Personnel issues will be coordinated with CHRIS 180 Human Resources Department.

  • Manager will manage all TREE House staff.

  • Manager will review and add input on TREE House budget with CHRIS 180 Accounting Manager and SA Services Director.

  • Manager will report, as required, and requested, to grant funders on the progress of TREE House services and initiatives.

  • Manager will train all staff on TREE House procedures and regularly review procedures.

  • Manager will ensure all staff are properly trained on service delivery (e.g., Matrix, thinking for a Change, and Seeking Safety), and receive ongoing support training when necessary.

  • Manager will Organize and lead weekly treatment team meetings with staff to review client cases and assign tasks

  • Manager will assist Grant Manager on training staff on proper data collection and storage procedures

  • Manager will assign clinical team based on the needs identified by the Youth/Recovery Support Coordinator

  • Manager will Collaborate with evaluation team to collect data from participants and partners to conduct local performance evaluation and to compile and submit required reports to SAMHSA

  • Manager will Distribute applicable reports to project staff and key partners

  • Manager will cultivate provider and other child-serving agency partnerships that enhance outcomes.

  • Manager will Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization and professional standards

  • Manager will work with the Operations Manager to ensure program staff complete documentation and other required tasks in a timely manner

  • Manager will have oversight of aftercare and discharge planning with youths input, behavior contracts, therapeutic leave/visiting family or vested adult, and trust sheets

  • Manager will assist Operations Manager bimonthly chart audit for emerging issues and trends, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure the project is cost-efficient and helps participants achieve outcome goals

  • Manager will support staff as needed in the facilitation of direct client services.

  • Manager will Collaborate and communicate with other programs in the CHRIS 180 continuum in the provision of services to consumers

  • Manager will Collaborate and consult with other providers and entities in the provision of best care services to consumers

  • Manager will Advocate on behalf of clients with other agencies to include coordinating services to patients.

  • Manager will Monitor the provision of services provided

  • Manager will Make personal contacts at each community partner so that you can ensure quality of care for the clients

  • Manager will Research and/or attend trainings to educate self on best practices to provide adequate services to members

  • Manager will Employ tools to maintain compliance with governing agencies or entities (i.e., DBHDD)

  • Manager will Maintain detailed files, documentation, and billing requirements in a timely manner in accordance with CHRIS 180 policy and compliance standards

  • Manager will Maintain certifications/trainings and provide information to HR and Training in a timely manner

Qualifications/Competencies

  • Minimum of a masters degree in one of the social sciences with a minimum of five years working directly with youth and/or families with youth having a substance use diagnosis. Must have supervisory experience. Preferred fully licensed in a counseling area such as LPC, LCSW or LMFT.

  • Preference given to individuals with additional certifications in substance use disorder treatment. (e.g., CACII, MAC, CPS, CARES)

  • Highly organized and self-sufficient

  • Trained in Evidence-based Practices for Trauma and SUD (e.g., TF-CBT, ARC, MI, EMDR, etc.)

  • Experience treating Individuals with SUD and COD (preferred)

  • Experience with treatment at ASAM Level I or Level II (preferred)

  • Ability to effectively relate to clients, parents/custodians of all social, economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds, with firmness, fairness, and concern,

  • Solid decision-making ability as related to the safety and well-being of clients, families, community, and staff.

  • Be guided by precedent and established policy and procedure in decision-making. This person will be required to analyze and react to difficult situations, often while under considerable stress and pressure.

  • Dependability, emotional stability and physically capable. This position requires some physical functions that are essential to satisfactory performance of the outlined job responsibilities, i.e., sitting, standing, walking, driving, speaking, hearing and the ability to physically restrain (when necessary).

  • Ability to recognize when assistance and consultation is needed.

  • Must be able to work independently and within a team setting

  • Highly skilled in MS Office and office management software.

  • Technical expertise that allows well informed decisions, usage of available tools and resources and training to execute job responsibilities

  • Accountable for work being completed accurately and in a timely manner as well as following up as needed

  • Ability to collaborate with other staff to ensure best practices and sound decisions

  • Ability to communicate using appropriate tone when corresponding verbally or written (as well as proper usage of grammar and spelling)

  • Ability to adapt and adjust to course and be open to new ideas

  • Ability to manage workload by having a clear understanding of task/project and set realistic timelines and goals

Schedule

Typically works Monday

  • Friday between the hours of 8:30am

  • 8:00pm. Schedules are flexible based on need and site assignment. Schedules may vary based on site assignment/operating hours. Flexibility is a requirement and schedules are apt to change (with notice) based on clinic needs, grants, projects, or site assignments.
