Our automotive client is looking to add a Program Manager to their team in the Detroit, Michigan area. They are a growing company with a fast-paced, team oriented environment.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required. Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA is preferred.
  • 6 to 8 years of background in program management, design, product development, sales, quality, engineering, and/or manufacturing within the automotive industry.
  • Capability to check several program schedules and stabilize multiple priorities.
  • Computer skills using standard business software (including MS Office programs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Program Manager displays the lead role — the focal point — for product development and launch for both the customer and company.
  • Leads Core Team activities, including: preparing new program launch; establishing project schedules with key milestones; construing each functional area’s deliverables; communicating plans, schedules, and changes; and achieving consensus from the team.
  • Understands all customer requirements for the project, communicates them to the team, and ensures that the team meets or exceeds them.
  • Establish adherence to project plan and schedule by conducting core team meetings, generating follow-up documents, managing open issues, facilitating team member’s jobs, and soliciting management support in overcoming problems.
  • Allocates, tracks, and, administers all project costs in real time, securing that all chargeable costs are assigned to the customer, and obtaining management approval for all cost overruns.
  • Empowers and controls changes in the program affecting the agreed to targets and/or objectives.

The D&I Program Manager will implement strategies and tactics in support of advancing Campbell Ewald’s diversity, equity and inclusion vision. T he key to this role is the ability to move fast, be responsive, provide advice, navigate ambiguity, and make an impact. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: D&I Thought-Leadership Lead diversity and inclusion communication strategy and planning. Assist with the development of policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce for the organization. Recruiting and Talent Pipeline Develop and maintain relationships with external professional organizations focused on improving diverse talent representation at the company. Build relationships with internal and external partners, including D&I thought leaders and organizations, that deliver impactful D&I solutions and ideas. Coordinate external diverse talent outreach to ensure a diverse pipeline for CE. Manages, attends and coordinates diversity hiring opportunities and programs. Partner with Recruiting Director to create a plan for diverse talent outreach. Work to increase the pool of diverse candidates in local markets through outreach on campus and with diversity organizations ensuring pipeline for leadership and internship programs and fulltime positions. Engage, build, and maintain relationships with CE employees and leaders. Inclusion Programs and Training Project management and support for D&I company-wide initiatives in the areas of inclusion, representation, talent management and diversity education. Research contemporary trends in DEI and apply practices to internal strategies and activities. Facilitate training and education to employees and managers on how to recognize, accommodate and appreciate individual differences. Develop, implement, and oversee employee-facing programs and external outreach programs/events, partnering with leaders and employee. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Psychology, Organization Development, or Human Resources related discipline Strong project management and project implementation skills required Strong facilitation, collaboration and communication skills Related human resource experience, including recruiting experience, preparation and implementation of training materials and diversity initiatives preferred Solid knowledge, sensitivity and passion for equity, diversity & inclusion Experience developing successful partnerships, creating and implementing new programs and managing multiple projects concurrently Excellent judgment Comfort with ambiguity, uncertainty, and a rapidly evolving business landscape Humble attitude with a willingness to shift from high-level critical thinking to stepping in and helping to drive implementation Ability to travel At Campbell Ewald, we believe that the things that make us different make us better.
