Program Manager (Behavioral Health)

The Company: Our client is located in Salt Lake City and provides a continuum of behavioral healthcare services to help individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

The Position: Our client is looking for a full-time Program Manager who is fully licensed in the state of Utah as an LCSW/LMHC/LMFT. This position will directly manage a program addressing substance abuse with an adult male shelter. The client offers the following salary and benefits:

Requirements:

  • Active Utah License in LCSW, LMHC or LMFT
  • Program Manager Experience Treating the Dual-Diagnosed, SUD and Criminogenic Populations
  • Ability to Supervise Clinicians Obtaining Supervisory Hours

Responsibilities

  • Schedule Varies Depending on Program
  • Identify Appropriate SUD Treatment Services
  • Assist Persons Needing Preliminary Stabilization (
  • Completes timely funding requests and treatment updates based upon the treatment plan.
  • Uses the American Society of Addiction Medicines Criteria (ASAM Criteria 3) in recommending client service levels and in formulating treatment plans.
  • Facilitates addiction-related psychotherapy groups and life-skills classes.
  • At a minimum, is competent in providing substance-abuse treatment, group therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in behavioral or social science, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, such as Social Workers, Psychologist, Counselors and Social and Community Service Managers. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR C. Experience: Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Coordinate a social services program (such as suicide prevention, substance abuse or family programs); provide counseling to employees, managers, organizations and/or families on suicide prevention or other social services topics; arrange and/or provide technical briefings, orientations, training's or workshops; and track and report information using a variety of automated systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Social Workers, Psychologist, Counselors and Social and Community Service Managers. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
