The RoleThe Marketing Operations team at AspenTech is in search of a strong Marketing Operations Manager (PMO). This role will be focused on helping Marketing project manage several key cross functional initiatives, assist with the budget execution process and oversee various day to day activities. Ideal candidates should have exceptional project management skills, be process driven in nature and possess great attention to detail.
Project manage large cross functional activities, including technology implementations, marketing product launches and major company events.
Working with functional leads in Marketing, develop clear processes for managing execution tactics, resource balancing strategies, change controls and prioritization processes as well as clear paths for exemptions and escalations.
Develop project management templates that can be utilized by program leads, event managers and other key stakeholders
Lead the transition of activity based tactics to an integrated set of projects/processes. Develop reporting capabilities to track the progress of initiatives, and communicate status to leadership.
Work with key stakeholders throughout the organization in the planning, execution and project management of key corporate initiatives
Manage the budget execution process, including the creation and tracking of requisitions, facilitation of the procurement process and ensuring rigor in the recording of marketing spend
What You'll Need
7-10 years' experience managing large cross functional projects with rigor
University degree (Bachelor's or equivalent). Concentration in a management and/or operations discipline is preferred
Certification in Project Management strongly desired (PMPO)
Process driven (Six Sigma highly desired)
Experience managing process (Six Sigma desired), execution and resources in a project management framework (Agile preferred)
Ability to communicate throughout the organization (at all levels)
Experience in the daily management of a procurement process helpful
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with MS Project, Teams, Smartsheet or other project management tools
