This position is responsible for directing strategic initiatives within the Operations organization, which includes direct leadership responsibility of project management professionals. The Construction Project Manager is expected to utilize and apply professional project/program management and strong leadership practices, principles and skills to effectively manage direct and indirect reports in a matrix management/cross functional environment.

This position interfaces across all areas of the company to establish, implement and mature the methodology for project management, i.e., drive standardized / scalable project management processes, portfolio reporting, communications management, risk identification / mitigation management. Provides the leadership and personal fortitude necessary to grow and mature the organization, providing daily examples of the traits and actions required to successfully meet the vision, mission and goals of the overall organization. Maintains an open, honest, and continuous communication with senior executives and cross-functional leaders. Drives and coordinates strategic project activities to ensure that objectives are being met. Effectively markets department's capabilities, services and strategies both within and outside of the department. Actively solicits feedback related to department staffing, job performance, project deliverables, and takes action to address any issues. Works with other project management departments to obtain appropriate staff to meet the needs of all projects.

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent work experience is required

  • Current Project Management Professional certification (PMP) preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor/train others in PM methodologies

  • 10+ years of experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors; ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives

  • Demonstrated organizational management skills in a highly complex, fast growing technical environment including personnel management, budget management and business planning

  • Experience creating, justifying and managing large multi-million dollar operating budgets

  • An ability to present and discuss technical, functional and management information in a clear and concise way that explains complex topics, is persuasive and promotes consensus

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on workload and direction from management and customer

Evaluation of occupational performance includes: The occupational profile, client factors, body structures, performance patterns, context(s) and performance skills. * Provide training in techniques to enhance community mobility, including public transportation and community access. * Use teaching–learning process with the student, supervisors, instructors, significant others, colleagues, and the public. Collaborate with BPCC staff, stakeholders, and student to identify appropriate support methods. * Promote the use of appropriate home and community programming to support performance in the student's natural environment and participation in all contexts relevant to the student. * Create activity analysis and compare/contrast adapting and grading of activity. * Articulate principles of and demonstrate strategies with assistive technologies and devices used to enhance occupational performance and foster independent living. * Educate and train the student and significant others to facilitate skills in areas of occupation as well as prevention, health maintenance, health promotion, and safety to facilitate. * Assess assistive technology needs and identify basic AT services, devices, and their funding sources. * Implement and document intervention strategies to remediate and/or compensate for cognitive deficits that affect occupational performance. * Create task analysis in areas of occupation, performance skills, performance patterns, activity demands, context(s) and environments, and student factors to implement a support plan. * Effectively communicate and work inter-professionally with those who provide services to students in order to clarify each member's responsibility in executing a support plan. * Teach compensatory strategies, such as use of technology and adaptations to the environment, which support performance, participation, and successful employment. * Adapt equipment and environment to meet student's needs according to physical, psychosocial, and cultural contexts with OTR support and consult as requested. * Train individuals in compensatory strategies to increase independence with ADLs and IADLs, and functional and community mobility. * Educate, consult, and train student/supervisors/significant others to facilitate occupational performance skills. * Provide and document training in self-care, self-management, and health management and maintenance, home management, and community and work integration. * Provide and document development, remediation, and compensation for physical, mental, cognitive, perceptual, neuromuscular, behavioral skills, and sensory functions. * Grade and adapt the environment, tools, materials, occupations, and interventions to reflect the changing needs of the student and the sociocultural context. * Describe the role of the Support Specialist in support coordination, and transition services as relate directly to BPCC Program for Successful Employment. * Clearly and effectively communicate verbally and nonverbally with students, BPCC staff, supervisors, significant others, service providers, and the public. * Practice positive interpersonal skills including but not limited to cooperation, flexibility, tact and empathy. * Respect diversity factors of others including but not limited to socio-cultural, socioeconomic, spiritual, and lifestyle choices. * Use understanding of psychosocial factors and their impact on occupations when developing person-centered, meaningful, and occupation based outcomes. * Express support for the quality of life, well-being, and occupation of the individual, group or population to promote successful employment and community integration. * Travel extensively throughout Shreveport, Bossier City, and surrounding parishes using personal or state vehicle.
