Position Overview

The Program Manager will work cross-functionally, utilizing effective Program Management, to align commercial product management with subject matter experts to execute one or more of Adaptive's key Program areas. The Program Manager will ensure that Adaptive defines products that meet customer requirements and delivers those products in a timely manner. Individual projects within Programs will often span multiple phases of product development including feasibility, development, transfer activities, validation, and launch. Successful candidates will have strong communication and relationship management skills as well as a solid scientific and strategic understanding of Adaptive's products, processes and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure cross-functional alignment between commercial product management and subject matter experts to ensure key stakeholders agree on product requirements from both the customer and operational perspective for each project

  • Drive the development and execution of cross-functional project plans including scenario planning, timelines and dependences, project feasibility, estimation of budget and resources, and alignment of program strategies

  • Use strong interpersonal communication and relationship management to drive decision making of key stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and maintain focus of working groups

  • Communicate program initiatives and status to cross-functional teams, management, and other stakeholders escalating strategic decisions to senior leadership as required

  • Delegate resources, identify and resolve potential roadblocks, communicate goals, and manage changing priorities to keep program objectives on schedule

  • Assess risks and develop mitigation plans to assist in decision making

  • Contribute to the functional excellence of program management by participation in the development and continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and tools

  • Work collaboratively with Project Management to ensure detailed timelines and project plans are up to date

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Biology, Immunology, Cellular Biology, or similar; Ph.D. preferred

  • 5+ years' experience as a program manager in a diagnostic, medical device, or life sciences technology driven company

  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, able to navigate complex relationships and group dynamics to build consensus across scientific, technical and corporate groups

  • Skillful use of interpersonal skills and influence to accomplish work without formal authority and to ensure optimal team performance

  • Demonstrated ability to take accountability for all program management aspects and works effectively and closely with project leaders and executive sponsors Detail-focused and organized with strong critical thinking skills

  • Demonstrated success working within a team environment, adapt to change with agility and poise, and possess results-oriented approach

  • Project Management Certificate highly preferred with administrative knowledge of project management tools

  • Experience in ISO, CLIA, CAP, CLEP, GxP and other Regulatory compliance requirements preferred

  • Proficiency with program/project management, productivity and collaboration software tools (MS Excel, MS SharePoint, MS Project, Smartsheet, Tableau, etc.)

Here's where you come in: We are currently seeking a Program Manager to join our team as a member of our growing Energy Western Washington division. You're great at: Project Management * Develop scope and deliverables of a project. * Consults, plans, and delivers the program working with the client. * Leads project kick-off meetings. * Leverages resources internally and externally to deliver projects on time and in the budget. * Documents progress toward goals. * Act as main point of contact for client communication. * Develops and manages internal and external subcontractors scope of work. * Responsible for the financial management of projects. * Provide campaign training and support to client staff and "champions". * Develop and implement project completion plans. * Identify, assess and mitigate potential project cost impacts. * Identify and implement opportunities for increasing energy awareness, environmental stewardship and utility cost reduction strategies among client staff. * Coordinate with the enterprise platform team for implementation and management of product and support services. Business Support * Assist in the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans. * Assist in creating and implementing a continuous improvement process. * Create and deliver processes, standards, and communication vehicles to increase efficiency and decrease risk. * Develop Key Performance Indicators to set expectations and measure success for projects. * Analyze and deliver accurate and timely financial results. * Assist in developing and executing business unit budgets. Build Cross-functional Relationships * Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external partners and clients. * Participate in cross-functional committees and teams. * Look for and promote cross-functional operational synergies. Other duties as required. What we would like to see from you: * Must have demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of a Technical Consultant. * BA/BS degree in engineering, architecture or equivalent work experience required. * Six (6) years of experience in construction management, building operations, engineering, environmental science or equivalent field required. * Four (4) years of lead project management experience required. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred. * Knowledge of utility accounting and facility information systems; and how to utilize these systems for analyzing, measuring, and reporting required. * Working knowledge of existing buildings, facility management, active systems, MEPD, and architectural systems required. * Knowledge and experience in energy efficiency and/or sustainability programs required. • CEM, LEED, CPM professional designations a preferred. * Detailed understanding of the educational market, K-12 preferred * Knowledge of reporting, measurement, feedback and control systems preferred The McKinstry group of companies are equal opportunity employers.
