We are now recruiting for an exceptional program leader to integrate the next wave of innovative products.

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for defining, launching and supporting the processes in our portfolio of products to expand on a massive scale. You will enable this scale by building processes that improve and broaden our value proposition for our operators. You will obsess about this new and diverse customer base. The target opportunity is massive, but also ambiguous so you will be leading colleagues and partners to clarify, simplify and prioritize. You will envision, define, pilot and launch processes that extend beyond core package use cases and enable operators to effectively manage their business and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will also navigate how to best to adapt and scale the product across a range of distinct geographic markets where Amazon currently operates or plans to enter.

  • Bachelor degree (Quantitative disciplines such as Computer Science, Engineering and Economics are advantageous, but not required)

  • Experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams, including design and engineering

  • 2+ years of experience as a program manager or project leader, with demonstrated success in launching new products, services or businesses

  • Background in data analysis and proficiency in SQL required

  • Willingness to travel

  • MBA or Master Degree in a related field

  • Past experience in a high performance start-up or incubation effort within a larger company is highly valued

  • Experience and working with global teams and diverse partners is a big plus

  • Experience working with e-commerce or logistics products with in the retail world

  • Evident communication and people skills and a readily accessible sense of humor

The Senior Program Manager (SPM) is an expert on processes, both Access Points and stakeholder teams, problem solving and can apply program management techniques across many domain areas (strategy, logistics, finance, customer experience, quality and transportation operations.) The ideal candidate must be able to leverage this expertise to articulate and advocate initiatives for business and customer experience improvement, while working across worldwide teams supporting product, business management, quality operations and technology to grow the business by adding new locations and implementing new features and functionality. The SPM drives strategic planning, defining business requirements, project execution, and launch. Responsibilities include leading the annual planning process, reporting and business analysis to guide the growth of this channel, collecting of business requirements from internal and external customers, helping technical and operational teams convert those requirements into new processes and systems, and driving those teams to launch. The SPM is highly analytical, adaptable and enjoys the intellectual challenge associated with learning, launching and evolving new business models. Responsibilities: * Own the growth strategy for driving continuous improvement - setting strategies to increase speed, selection and convenience * Become an expert on the integration of new processes within the quality and business operations work streams * Partner with teams across the business you support and beyond to source, allocate and coordinate resources * Identify and execute on opportunities for improving customer experience * Work cross-functionally with AMZL and 3P carrier leadership to support and optimize new product launches and improvements * Develop, implement and integrate KPI reporting for new products and launches * Contributes to forward-looking strategy docs for OP1, OP2 and SPS planning * Develop materials for customer service, delivery drivers, internal/external partners * Own the creation of new standard operating procedures * Own the creation of experiments to test and validate assumptions for new product innovation * Participate in user acceptance testing for new products and features * Handover processes to steady state teams * Completed Bachelor Degree (Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation Logistics, etc.) from an accredited university or 2+ years' Amazon experience * 5+ years of progressive responsibility in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation or related field with proven ability to influence without authority as an individual contributor * Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional programs * Strong data mining, data analysis and problem solving skill * MBA/MS and work experience in dedicated project management highly desired * Prior experience or use of PMP/Lean Six Sigma/Kaizen/Agile * Knowledge of SQL, advanced Excel and script creation are a plus * Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment when working in stressful situations * Demonstrable problem-solving, mathematic and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a business environment * Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across multiple leadership levels of an organization * Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives Amazon.Com, Inc.
