ICF is seeking an individual who will provide policy and program management support onsite at the Department of Energy (DOE), working on preparedness, response, and related efforts. The ideal candidate will already be familiar with DOE processes and procedures, and hold a security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participating in meetings with government clients and helping with follow-up actions as directed

  • Preparing or supporting analyses, presentations, and reports on specific energy-related preparedness and response programs

  • Assisting Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the development of policy and guidance documents

  • Working effectively with other parts of the organization and other agencies to accomplish tasks

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field

  • 5+ years of experience, with at least 2 years in the energy sector

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong research skills

  • Attention to detail and quality

  • Consulting experience working on government contracts

  • Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously; organizes tasks and effectively prioritizes work

  • Demonstrated experience working on teams to achieve shared goals

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • US Citizenship

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience working with the Department of Energy; familiarity with processes and procedures

  • PMP certification

  • Active clearance

As an Acquisition Program Management Analyst, you will: * You will be heavily relied upon to provide acquisition documentation/cost analysis support to the Program Manager in preparation of future major milestone decisions. * Work independently with little customer supervision and will interact with both IPT and Program Leadership, providing them the documentation necessary to provide agency leadership with the program knowledge (Cost, Schedule, Performance) to confidently approve acquisition milestones. * Receive a robust benefits package that includes Employee Stock Ownership Plan! * Enjoy being in an organization where Program Managers are highly valued, work independently and in a culture of accountability A week in the life of the Acquisition Program Management Analyst: * Support two major functional areas: systems engineering and program management. * Support the AST Program Office Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the development and updates to Operational Requirements Documents such as the Initial Capability Document (ICD), Capability Production Document (CPD), and Capability Development Document (CDD) to support program milestones, reviews and decisions. * Support the AST Program Office IPT in the development of updates of engineering requirements documents to include Spectrum Supportability Risk Assessment (SSRA), PESHE, and Clinger Cohen Act compliance. * Perform engineering studies to establish and refine operational needs, attributes, performance parameters and constraints to support program requirements. * Analyze current capabilities/shortfalls to existing RDT&E systems and technical documentation as necessary to recommend potential incremental, spriral and Pre-Planned Product Improvement (P3I). * Provide expertise in developing statutory and regulatory program acquisition documentation as required by the DoD acquisition process. * Evaluate approaches and solutions to complex Program requirements and participate in the development of top level system requirements to support program objectives. * Update the Cost Analysis Requirement Description and draft POM submittals in support of annual budget cycles. * Develop briefings which support Program Acquisition requirements, budget reviews and other programmatic meetings and events.
