The STARS (Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System) Program Office, part of the Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) team within Collins Aerospace, is seeking a motivated college intern for the 2024 summer months to participate in day-to-day operations of the Program Management Office. This position consists of a variety of tasks, including general office administration, to ensure efficient and consistent operations of the business. This is an excellent opportunity to learn operations and program management skills, as well as gain exposure to multi-level leadership and a variety of other programs and functions within the sub-mission area. This position will collaborate with leadership and other departments including but not limited to finance, supply chain, engineering, and business development. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the program staff with a variety of tasks and must be able to adapt in a dynamic work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Shadow Program Management staff and perform designated tasks in support of program execution

  • Prepare spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, track program issues, generate/review program reports

  • Support and participate in program meetings, assist with meeting preparation (schedule and present through Zoom or Microsoft Teams, generate and circulate meeting materials)

  • Assist with assembly of proposal packages/materials

  • Work with cross functional teams to develop program plans and create/update procedural guides

  • Consolidate data from various reporting systems to provide stakeholders with data needed to manage effectively

  • Assist with recordkeeping and archiving of documents

  • Lead a business improvement project and present to leadership during internship

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with various levels of management

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams at minimum)

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Prepare presentations and brief personnel

  • Desire to learn business operations and explore different functions

  • Have proven ability to independently push actions to closure

  • Capable of working on site and possibly remote at times

  • This position requires the ability to access systems that contain information restricted to U.S. Citizens based on certain Federal Government contractual requirements.

  • This position can be for a Junior, Senior or Grad Level student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Management, or related field based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and requirements for the position.

  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0+ is strongly desired. Please include your GPA and transcript with your resume.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
