Role:

Splunk is looking for highly motivated college students to join our team. As an intern, you will work on a real project (or a few) and have an opportunity to enjoy our dynamic, startup-like environment.

You will experience Splunking and what defines our culture while honing the skills which separate our development teams from others. Working to support internal and external customer needs, you will collaborate with multi-functional teams, receive mentorship, and gain insight into our values-driven process. Our goal is both to support your growth and development while empowering you for a successful start to your career.

Responsibilities:

As a Program Management Intern you will be responsible for

Working closely with the Senior Program Manager. In this role you will observe Sprint Planning Reviews, Daily Standups and various other team meetings.

You will work closely with multi-functional groups with members from Product Management, Design, Engineering, Documentation, Education and Marketing. You will track and report KPIs on project sprint progress and track and drive resolution of issues.

Requirements:

  • Understand software release processes for both downloadable and cloud enterprise IT software.

  • Technical acumen is preferred, with basic knowledge of key web and software development technologies including HTML, XML, CSS, SQL, Java, .Net and Python. This knowledge doesnt need to be completely hands-on, but at a level of understanding required to lead development tasks and identify and resolve issues in development projects as they arise.

  • Possess analytical and communication skills and a risk mitigation mindset

  • You enjoy working well with others in a fast-paced environment

  • You enjoy working within an agile environment

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written

  • Education:*

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, and strong record of academic achievement
