About the Role:

The Program Management Director within the Product Development organization at Grocery Outlet is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of product development initiatives, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring successful program delivery. The Program Management Director reports to the VP - Program Management.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing strategic direction and leadership for the product development program management function.

• Leading and mentoring a team of program managers to ensure alignment with business objectives and market trends.

• Overseeing the lifecycle of product development programs, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive alignment, resolve issues, and mitigate risks throughout the product development process.

• Serving as a primary point of contact for senior leadership, providing regular updates on program status and key milestones.

• Continuously evaluate and enhance program management processes, tools, and methodologies for efficiency and effectiveness.

• Identifying and managing potential risks and issues impacting program delivery and developing mitigation strategies as necessary.

• Managing relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure alignment with program objectives and performance expectations.

• Partnering with finance and project teams to develop and manage program budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.

• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal quality assurance protocols.

About The Pay:

• Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 Annually

• Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.

About You:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

• 8+ years of experience in program management, product development, or related roles within the consumer goods or retail industry.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strategic thinker with a data-driven and results-oriented approach to problem-solving.

• Proficiency in program management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PMP) and project management software.

• Experience in the grocery retail or food industry is a plus.
