Strong-Bridge Envision (an HCL Technologies company) is seeking an experienced Program Level Agility Coach to join our firm as a dedicated full-time employee. While our headquarters are in Seattle, we have several opportunities on the East Coast. This position will be based anywhere on the East Coast of the US with the willingness to travel to the clients site as needed; relocation is not provided.
The ideal candidate must have experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) implementations, preferably in a health insurance company, driving from the program and Release Train levels for continuous delivery optimization. This position will coach and advise clients leadership and program teams for DevOps and Release On Demand strategies and frameworks in order to support the overall agility goals for the organization.
The candidate must be able to coach the SAFe Frame PI Planning (Big Room Planning) for the entire corporation and be responsible for working with Program and Product Managers to achieve the overall Agile goals of the organization.
Work as part of our onsite engagement and leadership providing input to implementation strategy and solution strategy across the account team for Program level needs.
Develop program leaders, focusing on cultural decision-making framework and empowering them as agility transformation agents
With the Agile Enterprise Coach and the Team Coaches, manage and optimize the flow of value from Strategy to Portfolio Management prioritization through Customer Journey Maps, Architectural Vision, and Epic creation to Program level prioritized objectives to Team User Story Delivery Execution.
Work with Product Managers and Owners to optimize the flow of value across a program increment planning and execution cycle.
Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering. Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure the strategy and execution alignment.
Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams, and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary, to coordinate and drive with others coaching leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
Help manage risks and dependencies
Escalate and track impediments. Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
Facilitate System Demos and Solution Demos. Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and help them progress
Develop and deliver program level workshops in support of their development as Lean-Agile Leaders
Foster Lean Agile Center of Excellence and Agile PMO within organization
Qualifications and Experience:
5 + years of experience leading Agile Transformation efforts advising clients on developing SAFe implementation roadmaps (setup/execution/post-support coaching) partnering and advising Product Managers, Product Owners, and Release Train Engineers on the ground during all phases of adoption.
7-10 years experience in industry roles with business and technology moving towards features-based and customer-experience based development, preferably in a health insurance company.
Bachelor of Arts or Science required. Preferred degree in business, technology, or information systems
SPC (SAFe Program Consultant) certification is required
Change Management and adoption strategy experience for Agile Transformation is preferred
Demonstrated experience at driving Agile transformations from design to implementation
Proven ability to lead large scale workshop style events
Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience desired, specializing in Agile delivery and digital transformation
Preferred experience working with and understanding both business and IT
Ability to work across varying levels of an organization
Experience and knowledge delivering solutions using Agile methodologies
Minimum of 3 years of consulting experience with either a Big 4 Consulting firm or a more specialized boutique consulting firms specializing in digital transformation
Ability to work permanently in the U.S. on a full-time basis
A talent for multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, learning client-specific and industry specific drivers, and working under pressure in fast paced environment
Ability to work as part of a coaching practice with a common approach and standards commitment to ongoing development and mastery as a coach
