Scope of position will include;
  • Manages the project management activities for assigned functional areas.
  • Coordinates, prioritizes, negotiates, and manages the execution of all assigned projects and contracts. Leads the analysis, project identification, budget, communication, and integration.
  • Collaborates with business management to identify short and long-term projects to be undertaken; performs feasibility needs analysis to determine project timelines; manages the analysis, project identification, design, budget, communication, and integration of project plans; approves business workflow and project design; assesses business needs, Project Manager capabilities and available project budgets.
  • Assists Project Managers with project issue resolution. Monitors the status of all projects on the team; monitors the team's budget; advises Project Managers on the design and development of project plans and timelines.
  • Helps Project Managers assess project risk through use of quality tools; coaches Project Managers in alternatives, solutions, and change management approaches. Ensures that Project Managers leverage experience of cross-functional resources and resources external to the project team; reviews project documentation.
  • Monitors project success measures and understands the status of specific projects and assignments.
  • Manages the project managers; delegates project assignments based on availability, ability, and developmental needs; provides developmental feedback to team members; coaches other Project Managers in managing teams.

ExperienceSignificant relevant experience, including supervisory experience, required.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in Lean Portfolio Management.
  • Proven track record of Agile methodologies and Framework implementation. Able to lead an organization through the Agile transformation journey.
  • Expert in Lean-Agile practices and able to aid multiple teams in delivering business solutions.
  • Guides and coaches multiple cross functional agile teams on agile practices and the support of high performing teams.
  • Works closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Business stakeholders to support the delivery of business outcomes.
  • Management of AAI enterprise portfolios across a number of business units and functions. Includes development and management of initiative intake processes, prioritization, and resource planning.
  • Manage and evolve project management methodologies. Strong understanding of ITPM, SDLC, and Agile methodologies is required.
  • Develop and oversee skill and training development strategy for the analytics organization as well as the Data Literacy program for CMI.
  • Develop and support AAI Functional Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives, strategies, and processes.

The Artificial Intelligence Senior Program/Portfolio Manager is a hands-on role that will provide oversight and management of all aspects of delivering Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) solutions to production. The Artificial Intelligence Senior Program/Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing the full scope of activities within one of Innovation's AI/ML solution portfolios, to include partner exploration and outreach, user/customer experience design, marketing and branding considerations, solution development and implementation, and demonstration of business value in production environments. This role will work within the fast-paced Innovation team, which strives for excellence in all phases of execution and lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will have the right attitude and an imaginative mind set, is creative, and has extensive experience with AI/ML solution delivery within industry. The individual will be comfortable working in an innovation-focused environment - in particular, evaluating emerging trends and technologies to assess their feasibility and viability and functioning effectively in a fail-fast environment. The position relies on the individual to be a self-starter and a quick learner, to have a futurist mindset, and to be able to innovate and report on tasks and status proactively. Job Responsibilities: * Oversees AI/ML solution exploration and delivery through the entire development lifecycle, e.g. rapid prototype, design, build, assemble, test, and pilot. * Acts as an advocate for their AI/ML portfolio and conducts outreach to identify partners and define scope for continuing collaborative efforts. * Collaborates with other organizations within the company to identify and flesh out new growth opportunities using AI/ML technologies. * Documents and articulates solution architecture and lessons learned for each exploration and accelerated incubation based on feedback from supported components. * Responsible for partnering with the Lines of Business and other stakeholders to determine the impact and facilitate changes related to new and updated Federal law, state law, and agency/investor regulations. * Encourages new transformative thinking and trail blazing and facilitates imagination and ideation sessions. * Maintains current knowledge of technology landscape and emerging developments. * Works with various Product and Enterprise teams to optimize customer and user experiences. * Employs practical approach to data access and management and eventual platform integration of AI/ML solutions. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, or related quantitative/technical field) and at least 5 years of combined experience in program management and/or AI/ML technology development, OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 10 years of experience. * Significant experience in project/program management and customer relationship management in the AI/ML technology space in an industry setting (banking/financial industry preferred). * Experience working with R&D/innovation-style activities. * Experience with programming and software design fundamentals, e.g. object oriented and functional design principles, best practices, etc. * Knowledge and familiarity with a broad range of AI/ML algorithms, e.g. NLP/Conversational AI, predictive modeling, deep learning, computer vision, etc. * Experience with both relational and non-relational databases and data access methods, e.g. Postgres, MongoDB, SQL, NoSQL, RESTful API's, GraphQL, etc. * Experience with Python programming environment or equivalent (e.g. R, Scala) and related open-source technologies such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, BERT, SpaCy, NLTK, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, Deeplearning4j, etc. * Knowledge and familiarity with AI/ML solution development within cloud-based environments (e.g. Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure), with emphasis on GPU-enabled computing. * Experience delivering communications in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. * Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes.
