Program Lead Competitive Benchmarking
This position will be involved in configuration and analysis of industrial automation products, including Rockwell and competitors products. This position will be focused on software products, such as Studio 5000 or Factory Talk. Candidates will conduct analysis of Rockwell and competitive products and systems, and develop research reports for marketing and development engineering, with the goal to provide benchmarking and competitive intelligence insights into competitors designs, approach, strengths, and weaknesses.
The candidate will also work closely with all key members of the BU team to understand the research and analysis needed to support BU decisions, product strategy and development planning. The candidate will manage a portfolio of current and planned research projects, and will interface with the Competitive Benchmarking engineering teams to organize project plans, execute the project analysis, and present findings to the BU teams.
Will be involved in all aspects of evaluating user experience, including programming, installation, debug, setup, and performance testing of industrial automation products. This will require developing and testing application code to be run on various industrial control applications, including programmable controllers, visualization products, and networks.
Ideal candidate should possess software design experience in a new product development environment. Should be able to evaluate and analyze software product designs and technology, in order to help support new product strategy and improve future product designs.
Collaborates with product management teams to develop a portfolio of projects and analysis to support next generation product strategy and development.
Supports business and marketing goals with actionable analysis and competitive intelligence.
Applies full range of usability evaluation methods to Rockwell and competitor products.
Helps develop and evaluate metrics related to the user experience of individual products and the suite, and the impact on end-user productivity and satisfaction. This includes desktop, web and mobile product designs and existing software products.
Develops and maintains mockups and prototypes.
Understands and stays current with trends and best practices in the user experience / usability and automation design domains.
Clearly communicates and conveys design and analysis concepts, presentations and deliverables, both verbally and written. Must be able to work independently and communicate well with global development teams.
Effectively teams with others through mutually supportive professional relationships, open and direct communications, honesty and respect. Able to cope with and leverage personality differences and differences of opinion. Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional projects. Ability to present and communicate research findings to small and large teams.

Must have Programming and Application Experience

Academic Major in Computer Science or Electronics/Electrical Engineering major.
Advanced degree desired.
Should be familiar with C/C++, Visual Basic, Python, Object Oriented Programming, other modern programming tools & methodologies.
Should be Familiar with RA software
