Description of Duties/Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions

Under general supervision, assists senior auditors in conducting on-site fiscal analysis and procedural audits of medical providers; assists in the review and evaluation of general ledgers and journals; gathers information requested by senior auditors for comprehensive audit reports; provides assistance in supplying detailed and highly sophisticated testimony utilized for administrative hearings regarding the analysis methodology used and the professional principles, concepts, and procedures involved in the conduct of reviews and review findings; contacts providers to be audited by senior auditors; confers with supervisor and senior auditors in revising audit scope; travels to various sites throughout the State to assist in conducting audits.

Minimum Requirements:
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to a bachelor's degree, preferably with major coursework in accounting or business administration; requires satisfactory completion of an agency-sponsored program integrity training program; requires an appropriate valid driver's license or the ability to travel to remote sites.

The IT Staff Auditor supports the IT Audit Plan through ITGC testing for Sarbanes Oxley, coordination with the external audit group and the execution of the IT Audit Plan as directed by the IT Audit Director. Demonstrate knowledge of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (CoBIT) and International Standards for the Professional Practices of Internal Audit (IIA). This position reports to the IT Audit Director. Key Job Responsibilities and Requirements: * Perform internal audits and internal controls projects under the supervision of an Audit Manager or a Senior Auditor. * Assignments may include standalone or integrated operational, financial, or information technology audits -- including Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 requirements and other Internal Audit assignments. * Basic knowledge of International Standards of Professional Practices (IIA) Standards, Statutory and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards and/or applicable Information Technology auditing and risk management practices/guidance. * Perform assigned audits in accordance with Internal Audit policies and professional standards. * Participate in all aspects of the Internal Audit lifecycle; documents work performed; modifies methods and approach based on coaching feedback. * Demonstrate knowledge of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (CoBIT) and International Standards for the Professional Practices of Internal Audit (IIA). * Perform other responsibilities that may include periodic reporting, open items database, system reporting, maintenance of policies and procedures, coordination of Audit Committee reports and related meetings, and other departmental projects. * Experience with information technology operations, accounting, finance or other related areas depending on assigned areas of responsibility. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; concentration in information systems, accounting, finance or related field required. * Minimum of 1 years of prior audit experience highly desired and IT background preferred. * Experience with information technology operations, accounting, finance or other related areas depending on assigned areas of responsibility. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; concentration in information systems, accounting, finance or related field required. * Minimum of 1 years of prior audit experience highly desired and IT background preferred.
