Program Finance Manager

We are searching for a Program Finance Manager at our Power Management- Leesburg, VA location.
This position is principally responsible for the financial management of a Line of Business (LOB) with the Power Management Division, with a focus on Orders, Sales, EBIT and Cash. The position serves as a financial advisor to senior leadership, ensuring they are aware of their commitments and progress toward them.
You will demonstrate success by:
Partnering closely with program teams to understand cost issues and impacts to the financial results by finding, describing, and communicating cost drivers and variances.
Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial systems (Deltek Time and Expense, Costpoint, etc.), information gathering and reporting, and adherence to division/corporate policies and procedures.
Supporting month-end close and special projects as required.
Serving as financial advisor within the LOB, ensuring program teams and leadership are aware of financial commitments, the impacts of change, and tracking key events required for success.
Working cross-functionally to support business needs, engaging with program teams, accounting, finance, operations, contracts, etc.
Preparing, analyzing and communicating weekly, monthly, and quarterly program financial status with respect to orders, sales, EBIT and cash.
Preparing presentations for Senior Management to drive decision-making.
Contributing to the determination of reporting requirements and improvement of processes surrounding them.
Supporting the program forecasting and estimate-at-complete processes, assuring accuracy and compliance with company policy and procedures.
Analyzing actual results with an in-depth view at labor, material, ODC and indirect costs, and variances, between actual cost, standard cost and budgeted cost, reporting this information as needed.
Participating in the month-end closing process for the LOB, ensuring accuracy of results and reporting.
Ensuring compliance with internal processes and procedures governed by Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Providing decision support and guidance. Lead ad-hoc presentation development and executive review.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with 5-10 years' relevant work experience.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance if required
CPA and/or MBA is desirable and may be substituted for years of experience
Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles, as well as familiarity with DFAS, FAR and CAS
Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office suite of product skills
Extensive knowledge and hands-on application of Deltek Costpoint modules (i.e., General Ledger, Project Revenue, and Costs, Materials Management, and Inventory Management) and Cognos reporting tools
An in-depth understanding of financial management within US federal government contracting.
Excellent communications skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
Strong sense of initiative, independence, closure, and ability to navigate multiple priorities in a tight- deadline, high-volume environment
Strong business partnering, interpersonal and leadership skills required
Ability to communicate complex financial data and concepts to both financial and non-financial leaders
Adept at using logic and reasoning to work through problems and analyze information
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
Demonstrated "can do" ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
Must be able to travel on occasion
