Active TS/SCI clearance required to be considered for this position.
The position is located in Arlington, Virginia supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency Research and Development (DTRA RD) Integrated Signatures Program (ISP). Applicant will be responsible for technical assessments of new and existing systems, performing research for the development of new architectures, and evaluating tactics, techniques, and procedures. Applicant will construct, operate, construct, and participate in the design and modification of various systems, devices, and technology relevant to the Integrated Signatures Program. Position requires a TS/SCI security clearance.
Essential Job Functions:
Engineer responsible for technical assessments of devices and technology relative to the Integrated Signatures Program, interfacing with customer subject matter experts (SMEs), and preparing presentations/analyses/reports.
Engineer responsibilities include design, construction and operation of devices and technology, using commercially available components, relevant to the program with the assistance of customer subject matter experts (SMEs).
Provide expertise in small system autonomy within the air, ground, and sea domains.
Effectively communicate findings and strategy to internal and/or external stakeholders, including executive leadership in order to define vulnerabilities, develop requirements, analyze findings, and recommend solutions.
Basic understanding of mainstream failure analysis.
Provides system planning, implementation, configuration, support and troubleshooting as required.
Collaborates with IT, security, engineering and business teams to understand requirements for their systems.
Implements solutions and provides technical support as required to meet requirements.
Provides accurate, clear, and concise documentation of system requirements and specifications.
Performs other duties as required.

Duty location is Arlington, VA with work at an off-site location an average of 2-3 days per week as necessary
Required: Recent relevant, hands-on experience in designing, building and operating small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS)
Required: Ability to travel to, and support tests located within the United States
Preferred: FAA Part 107 Small Unmanned Aircraft System License
