About the Position

This is a full time, exempt position in our Salt Lake City area office. This position requires approximately 30% travel, most of which is local. Travel could be a half day trip to a site or to meet with a vendor, a full day to multiple sites, or an occasional overnight to a more distant area.

  • You build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors of energy efficiency equipment

  • You enjoy engaging with customers at industrial facilities as the representative of an energy efficiency program

  • You generate efficiency project leads through these vendor and customer relationships

  • You gather information and data to understand and evaluate the efficiency of equipment operation

  • You monitor performance of industrial systems by collecting data from dataloggers and control systems

  • You author reports presenting project opportunities to customers and assessing as-installed results

  • You enjoy expediting projects through the administration process from initial lead generation to issuance of incentive check

  • You are confident working independently to meet agreed-upon goals and targets

Typical projects involve industrial and agricultural equipment such as compressed air, refrigeration, pumps and fans, VFDs, irrigation systems, HVAC, and various types of specialized industrial process equipment. Over 20 experienced Cascade Energy engineers are available for consultation and mentoring support.

  • Ability to communicate well with contacts at different levels of an organization, using technical understanding and social skills. The capacity to listen, motivate, and influence is critical

  • Understanding of the roles, motivations, and needs of customers and the ability to successfully translate this information into short- and long-term business strategies and initiatives

  • Exhibit a real passion for energy and efficiency solutions

  • High level of organization, ability to handle time effectively, and capable of leading and tracking a large number of projects and tasks simultaneously

  • Capacity to foster long term customer relationships using tried customer engagement skills

  • Strong understanding of industrial technologies and energy efficiency methodologies

  • Ability to assist with the creation of statistical regression models to track customer performance

Education & Experience


  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

  • Experience with energy efficiency in industrial or agricultural settings

  • Experience running capital projects

  • Experience coordinating across a broad range of people and organizations

Highly Desirable

  • Sales of industrial equipment or experience on a sales team

  • Experience with utility energy efficiency programs

Compensation & Benefits

This position is responsible for developing strategy as well as tactical implementation of QA automation frameworks, automated test suites and manual test suites. They will coordinate and lead a team of QA engineers in the successful execution thereof. They are able, together with the SW and FW teams to collaboratively specify and then attain fundamental operational QA KPI's. These test suites will execute within Continuous Integration environments, as well as stand-alone, and will run against desktop, mobile, and cloud software applications and systems. Subsequent reporting and triage of defects collaboratively with the development team(s) are part of the cycle. Creating virtuous cycles of continuous improvement of the quality and comprehensiveness of the Test Suites, and Automation Frameworks is a strategic and vital responsibility of this role. This role develops these QA systems and processes to mature and release Legrand software used to commission and control best-in-class residential and commercial building control systems. What Will You Do? MAIN JOB DUTIES: Architect, design, code automated, manual and semi-automated test suites utilizing industry frameworks.Work with product marketing and software development team to create QA specifications that meet customer use case requirements and support a broad spectrum of home and building automation products. Includes development of new innovative applications.Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycleAnalysis and maintenance of QA support and ongoing validation of current applications.Be capable of working with a software and product development teams in a fast paced and innovative technology environment.Performs other similar and related duties as required.Qualifications Required Skills * BS in Science or Engineering * Minimum 3 years experience in designing, developing automated test suites. Preferred Skills * BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering preferred * Expertise in C#, Python or similar language in scripting workflow automation * Familiar with the Agile development methodology, Lean Engineering for Software * Knowledge of and experience with object-oriented architecture and design. * Proficiency building integration, white box, black box tests and in data-driven testing and similar Software QA methodologies. * Proficient programming skills, including familiarity with data types, syntax and control structures. * Able to evaluate situations, identify options and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently. * Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions. * Strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
