What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Lead the development of effective growth strategies for the supply chain; drive new account growth through effective solutions development

  • Build and improve strategic relationships with the client's senior management team

  • Ensure annual profit, efficiency and quality goals are attained at each client engagement

  • Develop short-range and long-range plans and goals for the organization; ensure VOC/VOM KPIs are meaningful, aligned and achieved regularly

  • Direct capital expenditure and asset deployment activities; sustain Lean culture

  • Manage account-driven initiatives

  • Ensure customer contractual obligations are met

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 10 years of experience

  • Superior knowledge of vertical supply chain and supply chain systems

  • Proven logistics industry/supply chain management knowledge

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence employees

  • Solid financial acumen

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience

  • Strong project management skills and experience

  • Confidence to take calculated risks, make strategic, results-oriented decisions and accept responsibility for the results (positive or negative)

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships both internally and externally

This position will report to the Director of Program Management and requires close coordination with other departments including Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, Finance, Business Development, and Contracts. This position requires presentation of program health and status to Senior Management at both Thales Visionix and Thales Defense and Security, Inc. Coordination with Thales Group offices in other countries may also be required to successfully execute joint programs. Further, Thales Defense & Security, Inc. serves as a gateway for technology, leveraging Thales-wide solutions—such as combat management systems Benefits Just to name a few of our benefits… * Competitive salary and benefits * Yearly Incentive Bonus Program * Generous 401K program (up to 7% company contribution) with 100% immediate vesting * Tuition Reimbursement * Paid sick, vacation, and holiday leave * Paid maternity, paternity, and parental leave * Alternative work schedule (every other Friday off) Responsibilities * Management of multiple assigned programs, to achieve contractual and financial objectives through the program lifecycle. * Provision of timely reporting to senior leadership with details on program status and performance. * Conduct regular cross-functional meetings to review status towards objectives and identify issues early in the program. * Responsible for customer communication and satisfaction, including follow-on business quotes and proposals. * Ensure compliance with all TVI program management processes and procedures, including development of program plans, task definitions, schedules, budgets, resource requirements and risk management on all assigned programs. * Responsible for ensuring significant risks of all TVI Program (i.e. meeting the schedule, cost overrun, etc.) are communicated to management with identified mitigation and contingency plans. * As identified, responsible as capture lead for specific proposal efforts and supporting other proposal efforts with budget and schedule information. * Responsible for ensuring coordination of activities with subcontractors, vendors and suppliers as necessary to support assigned programs. * Responsible for ensuring effective TVI scope directions from the customer and suppliers are appropriately processed through the contract. * Identify contract requirements and coordinate activities of internal organizations and individual program team members assigned to the contract. * Coordinate and foster proper communication between the customer and the program team. * Identify and acquire additional scope on ongoing programs. * Maintain and monitor progress against monthly revenue forecasts. * By example sets the standards that embody the TDSI Core Values & Thales Leadership Model. * Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures. Qualifications * Candidate MUST be U.S. citizen. * Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Security Clearance. * Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related technical field or equivalent industry experience. * The candidate will have 5+ years' experience in managing programs in the commercial avionics and/or defense aerospace sector. * Experience with avionics modification programs for either fixed and/or rotary wing is desired. * US government contracting experience desired with excellent understanding of required processes for reporting through major defense contractors. * Experience in managing development programs for complex systems including management of requirement uncertainty and development risks. * EVMS experience desired. * PMP certification desired. * Management of technical and financial risks and conduct of technical reviews * Basic accounting and financial knowledge and profit-oriented business sense as well as effective negotiating skills. * Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects. * Ability to work in a team environment and interact with employees in all departments and functions. * Excellent organizational skills and work ethic. * Experience working in a multicultural environment a plus. * Effective oral and written communication skills, Fluent in English and the ability to manage multiple projects. * Ability to work in a team environment and interact with employees in all departments and functions. * Computer proficiency required and experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent. * Qualified candidates must have excellent written and verbal communications skills with experience managing small teams, working effectively in a matrix team structure, setting business growth objectives and achieving results. * Strong technical background with good understanding of marketing, strategic planning, business and market development, customer and product marketing. * This position involves some domestic and international travel.
