West Virginia Rivers Coalition (WV Rivers) seeks an energetic, experienced manager with a passion for our mission to serve as our director of programs.
The ideal candidate will have an educational and professional background that demonstrates success with program development and all facets of program administration.
Candidates must be highly organized yet adaptable, and enthusiastic about joining a small statewide organization in a pivotal period of growth.
This is an excellent position for a self-starter interested in working in an organization that embraces an entrepreneurial spirit and values collaborative approaches to programs that make meaningful differences in peoples lives.

Requirements: At least five years of experience in program management, including aspects of personnel and financial management.
Experience with remote supervision a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills including, effective persuasive communication to inspire action, diplomatic communication to foster trust and respect, and clear and direct communication to increase organizational efficiencies.
Proven success in grant writing, administration and reporting.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, including experience in Excel budget worksheets.
General comfort and confidence with working in technologies designed for remote working environments.
West Virginia residency, with a preference for location in/near the Charleston area.
Valid drivers license and ability to travel outside of regular business hours as needed.

VIEW JOBS 1/14/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-14T00:00 DESCRIPTION Department of Arts, Culture and History/ Kanawha Co. - Under general supervision of the Director of Museums, the Cultural Program Specialist is responsible for the development and creation of all on-line and digital educational programming for the West Virginia State Museum. This includes the museum education website and programming for the museum touch screens and classroom touch screens. This candidate will also assist in the research and design of educational program materials for use in programming, including materials used at the front desk for handouts to the public, materials used by teachers in the classroom and museum outreach and tour visits by facilitating and presenting programs for school groups, after school programs, scout troops and additional public programs throughout the year; create print and electronic materials to provide information to visitors and the public regarding programs and resources such as flyers, newsletters, and pamphlets, perform outreach duties to create awareness of the museum and its resources and maintain records in regards to specific programs, supplies and ordering of supplies.
