As a Program Director with California MENTOR, you'll be one of those extraordinary people. This position is supports those we serve in a residential home serving individuals with medical and behavioral complexities. We seek a passionate leader who can successfully direct program staff to provide high quality services to individuals we support. In this role you will manage the day-to-day operations with the support of your Area Director, Quality Assurance and Human Resources team. Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain quality services and engaging activities that meet the individuals needs

  • Manages the day to day operations in compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Interview and select talented staff. Lead, develop and inspire team providing on-going performance coaching

  • Writes and implements Individual Service Plans (ISP); ensures on-going communication with planning team

  • Financial responsibility in the following areas: operational budget, time-keeping and billing for services provided

  • Builds and maintains relationships with families, Regional Centers, and regulatory agencies

  • Prepares incident reports for both internal and external agencies

What we require of you:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a human services related field with minimum of 2 years' experience working in a licensed residential program, A licensed Registered Nurse, A licensed Nursing Home administrator, or a Licensed Psychiatric Technician with Five years' experience working in a licensed residential program is Required

  • Two year(s) of experience in management in a human services related field

  • Demonstrated success in a leadership role

  • Ability to effectively establish and maintain meaningful relationships

  • Ability to coordinate activities and services to meet the on-going needs of individuals served

  • Strong follow through to ensure quality services, regulations and clients' rights are upheld

  • High energy, goal-oriented, and an ability to inspire people

  • Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Ability to become approved as an Adult Residential Facility Administrator or hold current Administrator Certificate.

  • Must pass background investigation that includes FBI/DOJ fingerprint check

Responsibilities * Manage an excellent customer service program by adhering to the Peak Simply Service Standards * Manage a high quality on-site staff through implementation of effective recruitment, training, motivation and development programs * Direct efforts to ensure all purchasing guidelines are followed * Ensure leasing team achieves the highest standards regarding shopping report scores * Enforce resident retention and service request follow-up programs * Implement and monitor effective lease renewal programs * Monitor an effective preventative maintenance program * Promote safe work practices among on-site staff * Effectively maintain product knowledge of community and competitive communities through consistent evaluation of market conditions and trends. Ensure leasing staff develops similar knowledge * Direct efforts to implement sales and marketing plans, which effectively maximize rental income and budgeted occupancy * Effectively show, lease, and move in prospective residents * Achieve the highest possible net operating income through the implementation of effective cost control and revenue improvement programs; identify trends and recommend appropriate strategies and adjustments * Establish and implement renewal and leasing goals * Evaluate and recommend changes on rent/pricing strategies, and ensure websites and printed material are accurate and updated * Develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts and marketing plans. Accurately prepare and convey all operational and financial data to the Regional Manager in a timely manner. Be responsive and receptive to owners' needs, goals, and objectives * Effectively monitor all income, including delinquencies * Monitor the timely receipt and reconciliation of rent collections and ensure landlord/resident statutes are followed * Analyze and evaluate monthly financial statements. Write clear and concise variance reports to substantiate the analysis * Accurately complete required reports as outlined in the Peak policies and procedures as well as additional reports requested by owner and/or supervisor(s) * Ensure written and verbal communication to internal and external customers is professional and timely * Effectively perform and document appropriate employee evaluations including, but not limited to, performance reviews and corrective action reviews, and termination paperwork * Prepare and ensure staffing schedules are consistent with community needs * Provide training and motivation to leasing staff and ensure group training sessions are conducted as needed * Ensure timely completion of all salary, bonus, and compensation paperwork, in addition to adherence to company standards for payroll and overtime calculations * Effectively understand and operate the company's various software programs and ensure staff is properly trained in the respective programs for their positions * Ensure that all physical aspects of the property are at all times fully functional and maintained in an attractive condition * Adhere to established company standards for screening applicants for residency * Adhere to Peak policies and procedures * Direct entire Turn process as outlined in the Turn policies and procedures * Perform apartment inspections monthly as well as prior to move in and at move out. * Manage property risk effectively by communicating incidents and potential liabilities as outlined in the Peak policies and procedures * Ensure that Maintain employee files, resident and vendor files are accurately maintained * Travel may be required as necessary to attend training and other company functions * Participate in company training classes and meetings as required * Conduct effective weekly team meetings * Responsible for approving projects through outside vendors * Responsible for the general upkeep and cleaning of office, clubhouse, and buildings * Develop and maintain positive relationships with external customers * Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications * A burning passion for the student housing industry * A can-do attitude with the tenacity to get the job done, no matter what * A minimum of five years multi-family property management experience is required * A four year college degree or extensive experience in multi-family property management is required * Ability to read and write English fluently * Excellent MS Excel skills required * Ability to perform intermediate mathematical functions * Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions, primarily including OneSite and MRI Peak Campus Claremont CA
