Hanley Foundation, a non-profit organization based in West Palm Beach, is dedicated to eliminating addiction through prevention, treatment, advocacy, and recovery support. We seek a qualified and passionate Mental Health Program Director to lead our inpatient treatment program.

This position is responsible for the overall direction, management, and clinical supervision of the program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges and co-occurring disorders. This is a full-time position at our West Palm Beach, Florida, treatment center. Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee a comprehensive inpatient treatment program aligned with the organization's mission and best practices in mental health care. Supervise and provide clinical guidance to a team of mental health professionals, including task assignment, training, supervision, and evaluation(s) of job performance. Oversee daily clinical issues, including but not limited to meeting with clients or families as deemed clinically appropriate, making decisions regarding unusual discharges, and providing proactive direction to minimize crises.

Complete monthly Quality Performance Indicator assessments. Promote the integration of a 12-step philosophy and a positive peer culture with clients, families, referrals, and Hanley employees. Coordinate and develop all therapeutic presentations in the treatment unit, ensuring they address the specific needs of the patient population and align with evidence-based practices.

Develop, implement, and manage the daily program schedule and any modifications with approval from the program director and management team. Provide psycho-educational presentations and co-facilitate groups as needed. Meet individually with clients when deemed clinically appropriate and provide clinical direction in crises as needed.

Utilize the written program plan, organizational benchmarks, and patient outcomes data to guide the ongoing development of staff and program effectiveness. Collaborate with Marketing, Accounting, Intake, Admissions, and continuing Care departments, resolving problems to improve seamless continuum functioning. Ensure compliance with all state standards and accrediting bodies.

Troubleshoot grievances and incident reports. Meet with families participating in FEP programs when necessary. Serve as the point person for all public speaking events.

Uphold all Hanley Foundation and Procedures. Maintain client/potential client confidentiality by Hanley Policy. Perform other duties as requested by the Executive Team.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities: Knowledge and ability to manage a multidisciplinary treatment team. Expertise in mental health and substance use disorders.

In-depth knowledge of trauma-informed care and experience working with trauma populations. Knowledge and experience utilizing the 12-step Philosophy. Strong administrative skills, highly organized, and able to prioritize.

Knowledge and ability in strategic planning and implementation. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft products and network components. Excellent communication skills that foster teamwork and high morale.

Able to manage crises calmly, proactively, and professionally. Empower and delegate key duties to others. Able to manage the client population utilizing a positive peer approach.

Education/Experience/Qualifications: Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or a related field. Florida state license to practice as a therapist (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT)· At least 3 years of experience working in a substance abuse treatment facility.

Knowledge, experience, and competence in the specific areas of adult treatment, adult co-morbid complications, and family systems theory. Work experience in a 12-step immersion program. Able to work outside standard work hours and be on-call to assist with mental health crises and other urgent patient needs.
