GENERAL PURPOSE
The Program Director, LSAMP is responsible for the oversight of the National Science Foundation Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Program housed at Molloy. The program is an alliance of seven Catholic institutions, and Molloy is the lead institution. The director is responsible for providing services to underrepresented minority students in STEM through recruitment, cultural enrichment activities, research experiences, among other initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and lead LSAMP operations in accordance with grant objectives, goals, and evaluation plan.
Initiate and sustain alliance-wide conversations with co-PIs, campus program coordinators, the steering committee, students, and supporters of the program.
Oversee record keeping with provided services, financial statements, programming, opportunities, and program evaluation.
Be responsible for program budget design and oversight of the program expenses in consultation with the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs.
Be responsible for internal and external reports to the National Science Foundation, including progress, annual performance, and financial reports.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in relevant field
3 to 5 years of work related experience
At least 3 years of experience working with underrepresented students in postsecondary settings
Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Databases
Jenzabar Software
PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with underrepresented students in STEM
Familiarity with graduate school application process
Web Development

SALARY INFORMATION
When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring annual salary for this position is between $68,000 to $72,000. This annual salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
