Opportunity

Friendship House is a licensed group home in Sheboygan, Wisconsin serving the surrounding community and helping to meet the needs and challenges of neglected, delinquent and dependent boys.

The Friendship House is operated jointly by Friendship House, Inc. and the Sheboygan County Health and Human Services Department. Funded jointly by these two organizations, Friendship House is managed by a Program Director who oversees a staff of nine full and part-time employees.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Oversee all management aspects of Friendship House including all day to day and program operations.

• Review and approve the admission of each potential resident.

• Participate in developing, reviewing, and updating resident assessments and treatment plans.

• Provide leadership and technical assistance to the employees and agencies.

• Review and update Friendship House policies and procedures as needed.

• Ensure compliance with all regulations that govern group homes.

• Ensure day-to-day needs of the residents are provided, i.e. food, clothing, medicine, and hygiene supplies.

• Manage all personnel matters including hiring, firing, employee scheduling, training, background checks, and payroll.

• Manage budget and operational finances.

• Work with Officers and Board of Directors regarding oversight.

• Provide primary supervision of residents when working alone.

• Create individualized programming for residents.

Skills/Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Bachelor's degree in social work, sociology, special education, psychology, counseling and guidance, criminal justice, or any other human services related field approved by the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services.

• At least 3 years' experience in a leadership position.

• Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
