Program Director (AKA Administrator) for ARF Behavioral Group Home

Pay: $66,560 Annual Salary; also eligible for Annual Management Incentive Bonus

This program serves adults with developmental disabilities (such as Autism, Down's Syndrome, etc.) who also have history of challenging behaviors.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of just one of the group home programs in the area including organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning, and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.

• Manage program staff members including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.

• Make recommendations and/or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations.

• Manage the implementation of program planning; monitor delivery of services and supports; ensure services are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served.

• Must be available on-call to support staff, find coverage or cover shifts as needed.

• Small caseload to enable focus on thorough and top-quality care for individuals we serve

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services-related area of study (May consider applicants with HS Diploma if experience exceeds minimum requirements)

• Experience:

• Two to three years of related experience in the Human Services - specifically as a supervisor or direct support professional in an Adult Residential Facility

• Experience in a staff supervisor role required

• Experience working directly with individuals who have challenging behaviors and with Behavior Intervention Plans is required

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for well qualified candidates

• ARF Administrator certification - preferred

• DSP Year 1 and DSP Year 2 certifications completed - required

• Valid CA driver's license in good standing required

• Access to reliable transportation with current registration and auto insurance coverage

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.

• Effective communication skills to manage relationships and a reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.

• Availability to be on-call at all times for emergency purposes and to support staff and find coverage for shifts or in some circumstances cover shifts if other staff cannot cover. These are 24/7 care facilities and are staffed around the clock including holidays and weekends. Please consider this aspect of the responsibilty.*
