ResponsibilitiesDevelop a collection procedure for ROM data. Analyze and report results.Participate in the development and review of the program's business plan to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and progress.Develop systems for program monitoring, data collection, reporting and other methods to be followed by staff.Train staff in the ISP process, reporting requirements, development of objectives and implementation of strategies.Train staff in the basics of Integrated Supported Routines and monitor the implementation.Develop Individualized Service Plans with staff teams and individuals served identifying skills and goals to work toward as well as incorporating skills that will be addressed in the community.Obtain any resources needed to support skill and goal achievement in the program and in the community.Maximize the development of community-based programming and volunteer activities.Create opportunities for growth; the development and practice of individual skills.Educate individuals served about their rights and advocate on their behalf when needed.Assist in daily programming by providing group coverage, crisis intervention, and other related tasks as needed and assigned by the Program Director.Follow all record keeping procedures.Adhere to professional standards regarding confidentiality.Advocate for individuals served as needed.Be responsible for the safety, and security, if all individuals served.Supervise and evaluate Developmental Specialists regularly.Represent the Program and Alternatives in a professional manner at various provider/funder/family and public meetings and agency committees.Represent the Program on the agency Record Committee and other committees as assigned.Attend ISP's and other meetings required.Attend and contribute to weekly staff and supervision meetings.Attend and document all meetings with professional staff.Attend and document all interdisciplinary staff meetings.Attend and participate in trainings as needed or assigned.Foster cooperative relationships and agency values among all staff, people we served, their sponsors and families.Support all agency and program policies and procedures.Willing to be certified in First Aid, CPR, SOLVE, Fire Safety and Human Rights.Willing to transport individuals served in community.Ensure physical plant maintenance, included by not limited to health & safety and cleanliness of the program.Perform other related tasks as assigned.Qualifications

BA in MH/MR related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience working with people with developmental disabilities and clinical experience.

Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience required. Valid driver's license. Physical stamina and lifting of individuals is required.

Job Responsibilities: (The duties and responsibilities stated are general summary and not all inclusive.) The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is dedicated to creating, in partnership with others, innovative and genuine opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate fully and meaningfully in, and contribute to, their communities as valued members. DDS is seeking a motivated and experienced manager for the role of Assistant Facility Director. The Assistant Facility Director for Administrative Services has overall responsibility for directing the Administrative and Support Services for Wrentham Developmental Center, a Title 19-certified, and Intermediate Care Facility within the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services. The successful candidate will work closely with the Wrentham Facility Director and Assistant Facility Director for Programs to meet the overall resident and agency needs. The Facility offers work programs, day programs, and residential supports to the service-eligible individuals with intellectual challenges who live at Wrentham Developmental Center. The Assistant Facility Director will be directly responsible for the facility budget development and fiscal operations and management, including oversight of resident funds, as well as for directing key facility contracts and operations such as housekeeping, dietary, laundry and campus security, in addition to the physical plant/power plant, maintenance, storeroom, and transportation operations managing within a large unionized workforce and the supervisory of staff within them. The Assistant Facility Director position requires excellent Leadership and Planning Skills overseeing the establishment and revision of policies, procedures, and priorities consistent with DDS mission, state and federal regulations. Knowledge of and experience working within State budgetary operations, and experience in successfully implementing budgetary controls, is a must. Also, knowledge of and experience working within the Massachusetts Management Accounting and Reporting System (MMARS) and Home and Community Services Information System (HCSIS) programs. Some evening and occasional weekend presence is required at Special Facility Activities and Events. Responsible for "Executive on Call" coverage every three weeks and assists with the assumption of Facility Director's responsibilities, as requested, in her absence. Preferred Qualifications at hire: * Strong Knowledge of, and experience working within, a Title-19 certified, Intermediate Care Facility. * Managerial / Supervisory experience in the provision of 24-hour, 7-day/week services to an intellectually challenged population. * Experience supervising and managing within a large unionized workforce including taking corrective personnel action, when necessary. * Formal experience in completing written, employee performance evaluations. * Ability to manage multiple, high-priority objectives and issues, concurrently. * Ability to think and manage within a changing environment and with forward-thinking vision. * Ability to work, harmoniously, as a member of an integrated management team. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Strong time management and scheduling abilities; knowledge of DDS regulations, policies, and practices. * Knowledge of and experience in using Outlook, Word, Excel, Meditech, etc. * Knowledge of and experience in using the DDS (electronic) budget system, the Integrated Management, Procurement, and Contracting Tool (IMPACT.) * Experience in completing, analyzing, and/or maintaining accurate and detailed records, reports, and projects. * Experience putting contracts out to bid and with the Request for Proposal and Request for Response (RFP/RFR) process. A criminal background check (CORI) will be completed on the recommended candidate as required by the regulations set forth by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services prior to the candidate being hired.
