Job Summary
Under direction, the program director, plans, organizes and directs instructional services and leadership to improve the capacity of all districts to provide culturally and linguistically responsive instruction for all students. The program director provides educator development and credentialing, coaching support, professional learning opportunities, and technical assistance related to CLRP through the lens of integrated academic content in districts/schools in Alameda County.
The program director acts as ACOE's internal expert and leader on CLRP as it relates to academic content in identified areas of need. This includes, but is not limited to monitoring opportunities, identifying resources, curating and disseminating information, proposing direction, and implementing initiatives. Additionally, this position works collaboratively with team members across departments and with external partners in order to review and approve Local Control and Accountability Plans and to design, develop and deliver differentiated assistance aligned with the Local Control Funding Formula state priorities as part of Alameda County's academic oversight and support of its 18-member districts. Requirements / Qualifications
Starting in the 2024-2025 School Year Bachelor's degree required, additional graduate degrees preferred. Valid Teaching Credential OR Valid Multiple Subject Credential, Single Subject Credential, or Career Technical Education Credential (required) Administrative Credential (preferred) Five (5) years teaching experience.
Five (5) years at a county or district office or other organization leading successful instructional programming. Experience supporting the implementation of the culturally and linguistically responsive pedagogy. Experience supporting the interpretation and implementation of the California Common Core State Standards and Frameworks.
Proven track record of delivering effective professional learning, training, and presentations. Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record Read Job Description for a complete list of job requirements and experience required
