Sentara Health has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Director, Community Connect!

This is an onsite position based at Sentara Health's corporate office in Virginia Beach, VA.(May involve some travel to Sentara ambulatory practices).

Reporting directly to the Enterprise Vice President of Population Health, the Director of Community Connect Program has the Primary responsibility for the design, oversight, and day-to-day management of Electronic Health Record/Practice Management (EHR/PM) solutions for independent provider medical practices. As the business owner of this strategic initiative, the Connect Director builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholder groups including independent medical practices, independent practice associations (IPAs), community hospitals, and other organizations, as well as leadership across Sentara Health.

Also responsible for the strategy development, business metrics identification, and timely execution of deliverables for Community Connect initiatives, practices, and implementations. The Program Director will be a critical role for Sentara Health Community Connect to lead large complex initiatives for the organization. The Program Director is responsible for the overall management of their assigned Program which will consist of multiple related Projects.

The Program Director will work with the Business and IT leads, to drive component project intake as well as program delivery. To support these activities, this leader will work closely with Sentara Health employees and contractors to ensure quality completion of business requirements, scope, end user impact, Program dependencies, financials, and transition to operations activities for the Service Line. Program Director is responsible for researching, planning, developing, and implementing an organization's EPIC programs and modules.

Initiate and set goals for programs based on the organization's strategic objectives.

Plan programs from start to finish, including identifying processes, deadlines, and milestones. A critical element of the Program Director is the ability to lead programs and multiple complex projects.

This role will lead project delivery excellence. May lead a team of Program and Project Managers. Provides advice, counsel, and insight to PMs on how to lead projects more effectively to completion.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Previous work experience: Ambulatory Practice management, at least 5 years' experience in EPIC Ambulatory module and a combination of Cadence, Prelude, Resolute within Epic)

Key Competencies:

  • Expert Knowledge of Epic Ambulatory Modules

  • Expert Knowledge of Cadence, Prelude, Resolute within EPIC

  • Strong knowledge of Provider practice workflow

  • Strong Knowledge of Contract Management processes

  • Demonstrates healthcare financial acumen and budget management skills

  • Very strong communication and presentation skills

  • Advanced relationship management skills

10 years of related experience in lieu of degree

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required within 1 year of hire
