Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Functions

  • Ensures productive resolution of conflict; recognizes different viewpoints; brings conflict into the open, and encourages those involved to find appropriate solutions.

  • Encourages staff development and ensures public recognition of staff accomplishments when appropriate, (i.e., commendable(s), staff appreciation, staff make a difference, education/certification accomplishments, etc.)

  • Treats individuals fairly and respectfully and ensures that opportunities are equally available to all.

  • Demonstrates ability to build relationships and work effectively with others at all levels inside and outside of the organization.

  • Keeps staff updated of changes in company policies, procedures or other program/company related issues.

  • Ensures consistent interpretation of and compliance with all ReMed policies and procedures by using the policy and procedures manual, personnel manual, medical and emergency procedures handbook, and other related materials as resources.

  • Analyze data to evaluate, revise and develop systems and procedures to enhance operations and clinical effectiveness of designated sites.

  • Schedule all staff to insure adequate coverage to meet program staffing ratios, client treatment needs and accommodate any other scheduled activities.

  • Responsible for program evaluation/quality assessment systems; tracking, completion and timeliness.

  • Responsible for compliance with policies and procedures in human resource administration, legal considerations, facilities/properties/vehicles management, compensation administration and health and safety.

  • Must consistently use Personnel Manual, Policy and Procedures Manual, Program Staff Handbook and other related materials to ensure equity in management practices.

  • Must complete a quarterly walk through of all programs, offices, properties and vehicles to ensure adequate functioning, cleanliness, maintenance, health and safety.

  • Constantly evaluate systems and procedures to look for more efficient and effective ways to run programs and develop other services and new program ideas.

  • Interview, follow up and finalize hiring of all applicants for full and part time positions.

  • Assign and oversee staff trainers for orientation and training of new staff.

  • Assure implementation of other governing policies and procedures (CARF, DPW, etc.).

  • Plan agenda and direct staff meetings.

  • Coordinate and hold regular meetings with the Clinical Director to discuss potential admissions and discharges, client issues, staff issues, overall clinical programs and any related budgetary issues.

  • Meet regularly with Regional Vice President of Clinical Operations to discuss program, personnel, budget, client and company issues.

  • Responsible for overseeing petty cash system, including maintaining adequate balance, keeping track of deposits and withdrawals and submitting reports and reconciliation by Monday morning.

  • Submit payroll weekly; maintain accurate records of staff vacation, personal and sick time by Monday morning.

  • Approve all program expenses, purchases and maintenance.

  • Develop and monitor annual budget in collaboration with Clinical Director and other members of Collage's management team as necessary.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

A bachelor's degree along with two to three years of experience in the health care field, with basic knowledge of brain injury rehabilitation, is required. Excellent leadership, supervisory skills and proven administrative skills are essential. Planning, organizational, writing and time management skills are required. Exceptional ability to communicate with families, professionals and co-workers is a must.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Regularly required to communicate, both orally and in writing; occasionally required to speak on the telephone for extended periods of time.

  • Regularly required to sit; occasionally required to bend, stoop, and kneel; frequently required to stand and walk.

  • Regularly required to use hands to type, grasp, handle, or feel; reach, push or pull with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Regularly required to demonstrate a high degree of attention to details, quality standards and accuracy.

  • Must have the ability to handle and organize multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Must have the ability to travel up to 20% of the time spent working in this position.

  • Must have the ability to occasionally lift and or move 30 lbs. or more.
