POSITION DESCRIPTION:The job of Program Development Specialist, Head Start/Early Head Start, is designed for the purpose/s of: Monitoring and technical assistance to child development programs and training of multiple sites and/or programs. This is designated as a certificated management position and is part of the Management Leadership Team. This is a categorically funded position. The following document must be attached to your Ed-Join application prior to the position closing at date/time:Two (2) Letters of Reference/Recommendation (Must be dated within the last 2 years) Letter of Introduction (Must specifically reference the position for which you have applied) Current ResumePossession of or ability to obtain prior to employment, a Program Director's Permit authorizing supervision of child development programs (Refer to Commission on Teacher Credentialing pamphlet for Program Director Permit.)The following documents are required upon hire: Valid CA Driver's License, Bachelor's Degree, TB, and Fingerprint clearance.Offers of employment are contingent upon successful passing of a physical examination including documentation, immunizations and/or exemption as required by state regulations (including but not limited to measles, pertussis and influenza)

EXPERIENCE:A minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience in child development programs required. At least five (5) years of administrative or supervisory experience which would demonstrate exposure and utilization of required skills, knowledge, and abilities in performing job-related duties and responsibilities required.

Kind/type of experience as related to described duties and responsibilities will be considered. EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in childhood development or closely related field required.
