The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Coordinator
WORK SCHEDULE
40 hours per week
Day Shift

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty
OR
Equivalent education/experience.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for front-line communication activities, including answering the laboratory phone lines, directing visitors, sorting and organizing deliveries (mail and faxes) within the laboratory office, ordering supplies for administrative staff, and problem solving;
Initial point-of-contact for all incoming phone inquiries to the laboratories;
Organize and maintain laboratory program documents and laboratory staff training documentation and certification in compliance with UW and College of American Pathology (CAP) accreditation requirements;
Monitor laboratory staff continuing education and training records;
Onboard and offboard Virology laboratory staff.
Maintain archiving and shredding services. Handle retrieval requests for all lab employees.
Set up meetings, telecast of UW Lab Medicine Grand Rounds, and arrange other education seminars. Responsible for conference room scheduling;
Act as liaison between laboratory staff and building engineering for building maintenance and repair requests;
Responsible for service and maintenance of all office equipment;
Assist laboratory staff with purchasing of laboratory supplies and reagents as requested;
Manage special program projects within the program as assigned by the Laboratory Operations Manager;
Attend meetings and/or conferences as program representative;
May assist with training staff on program protocols and guidelines.
May direct the work of assigned staff;
